Friday, 30th May and Friday, 27th June, in The Immaculate Conception Church Hall, Maryhill, from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.  We have a variety of ways that women can reach out before the meeting: Twitter: @GAWomenSupport, Facebook: Faith Living (Archdioceses of Glasgow) email: [email protected]

Laudato Si’ Week 2025 will be celebrated from May 24-31 to mark the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ landmark encyclical on care for our common home.  “Raising Hope!" is the theme that will guide us this jubilee year.  Plans for our parish include Rosary around the grounds at 4.30, Sunday 25th May, Guided Rosary on Caring for Creation each morning at 9.30, and a LS Challenge sheet of daily activities.  Why not sign up for the free newsletter of the Laudato Si’ Movement to find out what is going on this year: https://laudatosimovement.org/

Catholic Social Teaching Thought for the Week – 18th May Looking at our current reality, I ask myself if we have understood the lesson of Pacem in Terris? I ask myself if the words justice and solidarity are only in our dictionary, or if we all work so that they become a reality? Pope Francis, Address celebrating the 50th anniversary of ‘Pacem in Terris’, 3 October 2013

Laudato Si’ - On Care for our Common Home - Some circles maintain that current economics and technology will solve all environmental problems, and argue, in popular and non-technical terms, that the problems of global hunger and poverty will be resolved simply by market growth. They are less concerned with certain economic theories which today scarcely anybody dares defend, than with their actual operation in the functioning of the economy. (#109)

Financial Returns 2024/2025 - This has been sent to the Diocese and once approved will be made available. It is parish income and expenditure for the year.

Congratulations to all the P7 who received the Sacrament of Confirmation from Archbishop Nolan on Tuesday the 29th April. Certificates for those children who do not attend St Nicholas Primary can now be collected from the Sacristy.

Please be aware there is a scam going on regarding an email being sent in my name. I'm sure you know me by now and my computer skills to realise that this could never come from me, so please ignore it! Fr Michael.

Piety Stall There's a large selection of First Communion cards and gifts for sale in the Piety Stall.

RCIA PROGRAMME: Interested in becoming a Catholic? Please get in touch. The programme of learning and instruction will begin after summer and prepares adults for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Please speak to Fr. Maloney if you would like to know more.
