And so at last the poor have hope, and the snapping jaws of the wicked are shut. Job 5:16
Laudato Si’ - On Care for our Common Home – Our freedom fades when it is handed over to the blind forces of the unconscious, of immediate needs, of self-interest, and of violence. In this sense, we stand naked and exposed in the face of our ever-increasing power, lacking the wherewithal to control it. (#105)
Remember Vocations in your Lenten Devotions 13th April - Palm Sunday: “To the extent that this Lent becomes a time of conversion, an anxious humanity will notice a burst of creativity, a flash of new hope. At this moment in time, we face enormous risks; we hear the painful plea of so many people. Yet let us find the courage to see our world … in a process of giving birth …” (Pope Francis, Message for Lent 2024). Pray for vocations and support ministries to those who are in need.
Palm Sunday - Walk, Cycle or Scoot to Worship Spring has sprung, the schools are on holiday, and everyone is outdoors enjoying the great weather. So let’s take the opportunity to think about and give thanks for the air we breathe, and doing our bit to keep it clean by walking or cycling or scooting to Mass this weekend.
