During Lent, there will be a second collection for either The Sick & Retired Priests of the Archdiocese or SCIAF.
 
Coffee Morning:
  • Sunday 15th February.
  • Please come along and join us in the Upper Hall, after 10 a.m. Mass, for tea, coffee and some delicious home baking.
  • This month we are raising funds for SCIAF and we are grateful to be supported at this coffee morning by the pupils from Bearsden and Boclair Academies who are doing the Caritas Award this year.
 
Lunch Club:
  • The next meeting of the lunch club is this Thursday 19th February, 12.30-2.30p.m. in the Upper Hall.
  • As always everyone is very welcome.
  • Come along bring a friend, a neighbour, a family member and enjoy lunch “in a warm friendly environment". 

Charismatic Renewal: 
The Glasgow Service of Communion of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal invites you for a Lenten reflection retreat. Come and join us for a time of Inner Healing, praise and fellowship.

Messengers Meeting on Monday 2nd March:
  • All Messengers are asked to attend our Easter Reachout Meeting at 7.30 p.m. in the Lower Hall.
  • All Area Leaders are asked to arrive at 7.00 p.m. to prepare their Reachout Bulletins.
 
Annual St Patrick’s Day Mass:
  • Saturday 14th March at 10a.m. in St Andrew’s Cathedral, Clyde Street, Glasgow.

Walk With Me Lenten Booklets:
  • This weekend you can take away one per family of these little books which you may find useful during the season of Lent. They should be in the porch.
  • In addition, there will be the Lenten 'Wee Box' for you to take away and fill up to help those in need.
 
Assisted Dying Letters:
  • This weekend you can pick up the letters for the MSPS who voted for this.
  • Please read, sign and date them after Mass in the porch or return to the parish (sacristy or chapel house by next weekend) and they will be sent on to those concerned.

Laudato Si’ - the need to protect employment
Business is a noble vocation, directed to producing wealth and improving our world. It can be a fruitful source of prosperity for the areas in which it operates, especially if it sees the creation of jobs as an essential part of its service to the common good. (#129)
 
Altar Servers:
  • A few have expressed an interest which we haven't forgotten about.
  • There will be a meeting shortly for all Altar Servers and new ones.

Friday 20th February is World Day of Social Justice:
  • An annual international event established by the United Nations to promote fairness, equality, and inclusion for all people.
  • The day highlights the reality that, despite global progress, many individuals and communities still face barriers that prevent them from living fair and dignified lives.

Archdiocese of Glasgow Lourdes Pilgrimage:
  • Bookings are now open for anyone wishing to join the Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes, taking place from 16th July to 23rd July.

Support Group for Catholic Women Affected by Separation and Divorce​
The next meetings of our support group for women are:

  • Friday 27th March
  • The Immaculate Conception Church Hall, Maryhill, from 6.00p.m. to 8.00p.m.

The Church is open until 5p.m. Monday to Saturday. Call in and enjoy the peace and quiet and take time to sit in the stillness in the silence of God.

Tea is served in the hut after daily Mass/Services Monday to Thursday. All most welcome.
 
World Youth Day 2027 | RCAG Youth Expression of Interest:
  • World Youth Day will take place in Seoul from 3rd–8th August 2027.
  • Young people who will be 19 by 1st July 2027 and aged 19–35 at the time of the pilgrimage are invited to register their interest in travelling with RCAG Youth by completing the Expression of Interest form: https://tinyurl.com/wydrcagyouthEOI

SSVP Ozanam Centre has expressed its thanks and appreciation to all the parishioners who donated jackets, jeans and trainers for the benefit of and use by their patrons. Their prayers will be offered in gratitude and for the intentions of its benefactors in St Andrew’s parish.
