Coffee Morning, today, 16th June. Please come along and join us in the Upper Hall, after 10a.m. Mass for tea, coffee and some delicious home baking. This month we are raising funds for Aid for the Church in Need, a charity which helps support the Catholic faithful and other Christians where they are persecuted, oppressed or in pastoral need. Huge thanks to all who supported our last coffee morning as we raised £267.50. There is a ‘thank you’ letter posted on the Narthax notice board from Glasgow University.
Congratulations go to the Pope Francis Faith Award P7 champions who will be receiving their award at a ceremony tomorrow, Monday 17th June at 2p.m. in St Nicholas’. This is great news for the school and for both parish communities. Parents, grandparents and family members are invited to attend.
There will be a presentation made in St Nicholas' to Mrs Grogan and Ms Lennon tomorrow 17th June at the school - an opportunity for both parishes and Parents’ Council to express their gratitude for all their good work over the years and their commitment to St Nicholas', and to wish Mrs Grogan and Ms Lennon well in their new appointments.
St Nicholas' Leavers' Mass and presentation to say farewell to the school's P7 pupils will be held this Thursday 20th June at 6.30p.m. in the school. Parents, grandparents and all family members most welcome. We wish the P7 pupils the very best of luck for the future. We wish them, too, and their families and the whole school community a lovely summer!

The Youth Ministries Team is hosting a P1 Welcome event for families of children starting at St Nicholas in August. This will be held on Sunday 23rd June from 1p.m. until 3p.m. All family members are welcome.
There will be refreshments, activities and entertainments for the little ones, pre-loved uniforms available to take and P6 buddies to introduce themselves. Any P6 children who will be available to assist on the day please email [email protected]
Before receiving Holy Communion, we are asked to make some act of reverence such as a bow.
Regarding young children who haven’t made their First Communion being given a blessing at Communion time. Parents who wish their child to receive a blessing must come forward, please, in the Communion line to the priest or deacon. Many thanks.
The Church is open until 5p.m. Monday to Saturday. Call in and enjoy the peace and quiet and take time to sit in the stillness in the silence of God.
Tea is served in the hut after daily Mass Monday to Thursday. All most welcome.
During July and August, the Hut will be open for teas/coffees after 10a.m. Mass on Thursdays and Fridays. Hospitality is extended to any visiting St Joseph parishioners on both these days.

Lunch Club The next Lunch Club is Thursday 20th June. It’s the last one before the summer break so everyone is most welcome, bring along your friends and neighbours old and new. Come and enjoy lunch a bit of craic to help conclude another very successful year.
