Easter Sunday - Walk, Cycle or Scoot to Worship - Spring has sprung, the schools are on holiday, and everyone is outdoors enjoying the great weather. So let’s take the opportunity to think about and give thanks for the air we breathe, and doing our bit to keep it clean by walking or cycling or scooting to Mass this weekend.
Laudato Si’ - On Care for our Common Home – We have certain superficial mechanisms, but we cannot claim to have a sound ethics, a culture and spirituality genuinely capable of setting limits and teaching clear-minded self-restraint. (#105)
Remember Vocations in your Lenten Devotions
April 20—Easter Sunday: “A vocation is a fruit that ripens in a well cultivated field of mutual love that becomes mutual service, in the context of an authentic ecclesial life. No vocation is born of itself or lives for itself. A vocation flows from the heart of God and blossoms in the good soil of faithful people, in the experience of fraternal love.” (A New Evangelisation). We must reflect upon the need for enough priests to minister to the needs of the faithful by celebrating the mass.”
COFFEE MORNING - SUNDAY 27TH APRIL. Please come along and join us in the Upper Hall after 10 a.m. Mass for tea, coffee and some delicious home baking. As Fr Maloney’s niece and her family are doing the walk for Cancer Research, we’ll be raising funds in support of this amazing charity to add to their total. £455.50 was raised in March for Fr Matthew’s school in India and his ‘thank you’ is on the notice board in the porch.
Piety Stall Rota Could you occasionally help serving in the Piety Stall? We are particularly short of volunteers for the 10a.m. Sunday morning Mass –if you could spare 10 minutes after this Mass to help, we’d be most grateful. Any questions please call Anne MacIntosh 07866 009078 or Annamaria Strachan 07749 715514.
