"Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord."

There will be a Second Collection this weekend, 23rd/24th November for Catholic Education. The school will be at the 12 Noon Mass.

Essential work within the entire St. Andrew's Complex began on Monday 11th November and should last between 2-3 weeks. This means the Church, House and Hut are out of bounds. There are no Masses/ Services during the week over this time period, barring any Funerals. We will still have the use of the church for weekend Masses. Emails during this period of work will not be opened until the weekend.

November Lists are available at the back of the Church at the weekend Masses. During November, we remember all of our loved ones who have passed away.

Assisted Dying Bills Have you written to your MP and MSP yet on  https://www.writetothem.com/  asking them to vote against these bills? If not, why not? “Do No Harm” is a short documentary which highlights some of the grave concerns around proposals to legalise assisted dying in the UK and Scottish Parliaments.  View the documentary via the link https://youtu.be/Mi3S2yp3hjY  Justice & Peace

Dear Parish Family, As I prepare to move on to serve in Our Lady of Lourdes, Cardonald, I want you to know that my time here has been a true blessing, and it has been a privilege to walk alongside you in faith, celebrate life’s joys, and support one another through its challenges. I am officially at St Andrew’s until the end of December but, as I have had no time off this year and with Fr Michael’s agreement, I will take my annual leave from the 2nd of December. I wish Fr Michael joy in his time here with you all. May the Lord continue to bless and guide you, and always keep hold of Our Blessed Mother’s hand.
Please keep me in your prayers as I do the same for you.
With all my love and prayers,
Deacon Tommy.

Come and join our joyful pop-up choir as we prepare for the Advent Service and sing-along afterwards. Rehearsals will be in the church on Sunday afternoons from 24 November at 2.30. If you can vaguely hold a tune you will be made most welcome.
We sing.....and we laugh too!

Messengers Meeting on Monday 25th November. All Messengers are asked to attend our Christmas Reachout Meeting at 7.30 p.m. in the Lower Hall – and all Area Leaders are asked to arrive at 7.00 p.m. to prepare their Reachout Bulletins.

Dear Area Leaders and Messengers
Unfortunately, we need to change the arrangements for our Messenger Meeting on Monday 25th November. Due to ongoing boiler work, Lower Hall will have no heating, so we can't have our usual Messenger Meeting.
So, we're now asking Messengers to arrive in Lower Hall at 7.15 pm to collect their Reachouts and then leave.
Best Wishes, Jim McLaughlin (on behalf of the Messenger Group)

Appeal for More Messengers - We are now short of Messengers for most of our Reachout delivery areas, so if you would like to volunteer as a Messenger, it would be most appreciated. Please contact [email protected] or speak to Father Michael.

Tickets are now available for the St Andrews night function on Saturday 30th November priced £5.00 and are on sale in the church entrance foyer after all masses. Thank you again for your support.

St. Andrew’s Whist Drive will take place this Wednesday 27th November, in the Lower Hall from 2p.m. – 4:15p.m. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served. Entry £3. Looking forward to seeing everyone. New members always welcome.

Catholic Social Teaching Thought for the Week - Sunday 24th November (Feast of Christ the King) The church would betray its own love for God and its fidelity to the gospel if it stopped being . . . a defender of the rights of the poor . . . a humaniser of every legitimate struggle to achieve a more just society . . . that prepares the way for the true reign of God in history. Saint Óscar Romero

Laudato Si’ - On Care for our Common Home - We have only one heart, and the same wretchedness which leads us to mistreat an animal will not be long in showing itself in our relationships with other people.  (#92)

You should register for your catchment school during this period at the following link https://www.eastdunbarton.gov.uk/residents/schools-and-learning/primary-school-registration. November A Month To Remember
Grief affects all of us. November is a wonderful month to accompany each otherin our various stages of bereavement, especially those who have lost a loved one in the past year.
The main message is that Christ has destroyed Death…and that Death no longer has a hold on us.
Video on this link and by clicking image below.
