Catholic Social Teaching Thought for the Week – 28th June 2026 Not all of us can prevent a war; but most of us can help ease sufferings — of the body and the soul. Dr Ruth Pfau, Sister of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Laudato Si’ Quote - integral ecology We are faced not with two separate crises, one environmental and the other social, but rather with one complex crisis which is both social and environmental. Strategies for a solution demand an integrated approach to combating poverty, restoring dignity to the excluded, and at the same time protecting nature. (#139).

Remember Vocations - Saturday 4th July - Eucharistic Adoration for Vocations to the Priesthood, 10 -11am, with Exposition, Rosary and Benediction. Have you noticed there seems to be fewer priests to serve parishes these days.  Is that because not many people are praying for Vocations?  Is it because so few parishioners visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and pray the Rosary for Vocations?  Why don’t you come and “Pray the Lord of the harvest to send more labourers into the harvest”?

PARISH PADRE PIO GROUP:
