Thank you to all who were involved with the new Primary 1 afternoon that took place last Sunday in the hall.

Before receiving Holy Communion, we are asked to make some act of reverence such as a bow.

Our SPRED parish group, which consists of parishioners from St Andrew's and St Joseph's is actively looking for friends who have special needs aged 21 plus and volunteers who would be interested in training in order to keep this vital parish based ministry going forward. Catholic Social Teaching Thought for the Week – 29th June 2025 At times we find it hard to make room for God's unconditional love in our pastoral activity. We put so many conditions on mercy that we empty it of its concrete meaning and real significance. That is the worst way of watering down the Gospel. Amoris Laetitia, para 311

Laudato Si’ - On Care for our Common Home – Laudato Si’ - On Care for our Common Home -Liberation from the dominant technocratic paradigm does in fact happen sometimes, for example, when cooperatives of small producers adopt less polluting means of production, and opt for a non-consumerist model of life, recreation and community. Or when technology is directed primarily to resolving people’s concrete problems, truly helping them live with more dignity and less suffering.  (#112)

New Altar Servers. If you would like to be a Server, please ask your Parents/Guardians to speak to Fr Michael. The more the merrier - I think!

Jubilee Service. Each Deanery in the diocese has been asked to take part in a Jubilee Service at the Cathedral this year. Our date is 15th September at 7p.m. Along with St. Joseph's, Milngavie, we have been asked to arrange transport if possible. Therefore, if you are interested in attending, there is a sheet in the porch for you to sign. If there are sufficient numbers we would try to hire a bus. Could you please sign up by the end of June.

Our volunteers collect donations every evening from M&S Milngavie and deliver to St Gregory’s, Wyndford Foodbank and Aspire West End which helps people get back on their feet. If you are interested in volunteering or even providing occasional holiday cover, please get in touch with Veronica McLaughlin by email at: [email protected]

The Church is open until 5p.m. Monday to Saturday. Call in and enjoy the peace and quiet and take time to sit in the stillness in the silence of God.
