God loves all men and women on earth and gives them the hope of a new era, an era of peace. His love, fully revealed in the Incarnate Son, is the foundation of universal peace. When welcomed in the depths of the human heart, this love reconciles people with God and with themselves, renews human relationships and stirs that desire for brotherhood capable of banishing the temptation of violence and war.
Pope Saint John Paul II, Message for World Day of Peace, 1st January 2000
Laudato Si’ - On Care for our Common Home – Jesus worked with his hands, in daily contact with the matter created by God, to which he gave form by his craftsmanship. It is striking that most of his life was dedicated to this task in a simple life which awakened no admiration at all: “Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary?” (Mk 6:3). (#98)

This video captures the wonderful stillness and intimate nature of God’s request to Mary by Angel Gabriel.
- Mary’s unconditional ‘Yes’ to becoming the Mother of Jesus is the moment she conceives Him through the Holy Spirit.
- The manger where He will lay is already in place…
- He will come into the world silently…under the radar…a tiny, helpless child.
- But when all the Angels come from heaven singing to welcome Him – and spread the Good News to Shepherds and Kings…
- Jesus ‘goes public’
