"Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; to God who is, who was, and who is to come." WEEKEND MASSES IN BEARSDEN AND MILNGAVIE: As promised, a breakdown of future Masses in the parishes. The present timetable below will now be the norm. ST ANDREW'S, BEARSDEN.
ST JOSEPH'S, MILNGAVIE.
This timetable allows priests to go on leave and means that Mass times do not need to be changed. If a priest takes ill, this system allows the other priest to cover the two parishes. Retired priests are becoming fewer and we are being encouraged to work with the priest within the Pastoral area. Bearsden and Milngavie are presently one Pastoral Area in the Deanery structure. Within the Archdiocese, it is becoming the norm for priests to be looking after two or three parishes. Thank you for your patience and I hope that you will understand the reasons behind this. Just as the different aspects of the planet – physical, chemical and biological – are interrelated, so too living species are part of a network which we will never fully explore and understand. Remember Vocations - Saturday 6th June - Eucharistic Adoration for Vocations to the Priesthood, 10 -11am, with Exposition, Rosary and Benediction. Have you noticed there seems to be fewer priests to serve parishes these days. Is that because not many people are praying for Vocations? Is it because so few parishioners visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and pray the Rosary for Vocations? Why don’t you come and “Pray the Lord of the harvest to send more labourers into the harvest”? GLASGOW THE WELCOMING CITY:

Friday 5th June - World Environment Day: For decades, the world has heard the climate story—warnings, targets, distant deadlines. Too often, the response has been clouded by noise: delay, distraction, denial. But listen closer now. Beneath the noise, another signal is rising. Solar panels stretch across rooftops. Wind turbines line the horizon. Cities are being redesigned for people. Forests are being replanted. Climate solutions are taking root in every corner of the planet. Let’s become part of the solution. not the problem. The Church is open until 5p.m. Monday to Saturday. Call in and enjoy the peace and quiet and take time to sit in the stillness in the silence of God. Tea is served in the hut after daily Mass/Services Monday to Thursday. All most welcome.
