  • Vigil Mass, 5.30pm (Saturday evening).

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS: The Funeral of Flora Quinn will take place in St. Andrew's on Monday, 8th June at 10am.

  • Please use the little sheets provided in the porch or sacristy. In addition, use an envelope.
  • Please print the name in BLOCK CAPITALS and hand it to Fr. Michael or pop it through the letter box of the Chapel House. Many thanks.
 
A big thank you to all who helped out with the Thanksgiving First Holy Communion Mass last Sunday. A big effort was made by all and it was a memorable occasion for the children and all concerned. 
 
Bearsden North Community Council. We received a thank you letter and cheque for £150 for the use of our toilet facilities during the refurbishment of Bearsden Hub and Library.
I have sent a thank you card for this kind donation. The letter is on the noticeboard in the porch.
 
Primary 1 Welcome Event – St Nicholas PS: Starting P1 this August?
  • The Youth Ministries Team invites your family to a Welcome Event on Sunday 14 June 2026 at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Bearsden.
  • Join us for 10am Mass (with Children’s Liturgy) or drop in from 11am – 1pm to meet P6 buddies, enjoy kids' entertainment, and share treats!
  • Everyone is welcome. See poster in the porch for more details.
 
Coffee Morning :
  • Sunday 21st June. Last coffee morning before the holidays, so please come along and join us after 10a.m. Mass.
  • This month we are raising funds for Scotland’s Air Ambulance Charity whose mission is simple: to ensure that no one in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help can’t get there in time.

GLASGOW THE WELCOMING CITY:
  • Glasgow City Chambers, Sunday 7th June 2026 at 3p.m.
  • An event celebrating diverse cultures and Glasgow as a welcoming city to those seeking refuge and asylum. We will pray for peace in our world and look forward to the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
  • Enjoy music and song with St Anne’s Dennistoun, Southside Fiddlers, The St Mungo Ensemble, Ukrainian musicians and singers and the St Mungo Singers.
  • Refreshments afterwards. This is a free event.

Caritas Awards:
  • Many congratulations to Leo Cole, Leo Tartaglia and Joe McCourtney who all successfully completed the Caritas Award.
  • Pictured are both Leo Cole and Leo Tartaglia after receiving their Caritas medals and certificates at the Awards ceremony in the Clyde Auditorium.
  • If you are a sixth year pupil and interested in completing the Caritas Award from September, please be in touch with Fr. Maloney. Some young people in the parish have already signed up to start Caritas in September.”

Newman Association: Journalism and Ethics in an Age of Disinformation -

Dungavel Solidarity Gathering - Sunday 14th June.:
  • Every year around Refugee Week, Justice & Peace Scotland join with other organisations for a solidarity witness gathering outside Dungavel Immigration Removal Centre, ML10 6RF, near Strathaven, South Lanarkshire.  
  • Why not join us at 1pm for readings, reflections and to advocate for human dignity over indefinite detention. Contact J&[email protected] if you want a lift.

Support Group for Catholic Women Affected by Separation and Divorce.
  • The next meeting of our support group for women is Friday, 26th June, in The Immaculate Conception Church Hall, Maryhill, from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

Early Alert - Refugee Week: 15th - 21st June - packed programme for you to enjoy!
  • Celebrate the music, dance, food, art, language and ideas that people bring with them when they settle in Scotland.   There’s something for everyone!

Support for Drumchapel Foodbank.
  • Non-perishable food items are always gratefully received. Please place in the box in the Church porch during usual opening times.
  • Donations can be taken straight to the Foodbank at Ladyloan Pl Unit 9, G15 8LB.
  • We regularly use cash donations to purchase food items for delivery straight to the foodbank.
  • Our rota is always looking for more foodbank volunteer drivers. If you can help, please contact [email protected].
  • Thank you for continuing to give the foodbank your support.

  • Collect donations every evening from M&S Milngavie and deliver to St Gregory’s, Wyndford Foodbank and Aspire West End which helps people get back on their feet.
