  • Rosary – Monday – Friday 9.30a.m. 
  • Stations of the Cross Fridays at 6p.m. 
  • Saturday Adoration – 10 – 11a.m.
  • Sunday Confessions – 9.15 – 9.40a.m. 
  • Alms Giving Second Collection – for sick and retired priests. Many thanks 
  • During Lent, we are asked to pray for all who have been abused by the church.
 
Funerals. Anne Connor - Funeral Mass will take on Monday, 10th March at 10a.m. Gloria Lindsay's Funeral will take place on Thursday, 13th March at 10a.m.
 
SCIAF. A letter from SCIAF was sent thanking all of you for your very generous donation of £223.70 raised at one of the Sunday coffee mornings.

Lenten Challenge Sheet Week 1 - The joint Justice & Peace groups of St Andrew’s and St Joseph’s have produced a series of weekly challenge sheets with some ideas on what we might do to challenge poverty as our response to the Jubilee 2025. Don’t forget to collect yours, accept the challenges and offer them up as your pilgrimage through Lent.

ST PATRICK’S DAY MASS PRINCIPAL CELEBRANT ARCHBISHOP NOLAN - Saturday 15th March 11a.m.The annual Mass for St Patrick’s Day will take place in St Andrew’s Cathedral, Glasgow.
 
Coffee Morning - Sunday 16th March. Please come along and join us after 10a.m. Mass in the Upper Hall. This month we are raising funds for Fr Mathew Parumoottil’s parish school in India. He runs the school to improve the children’s employment prospects and, in India, every penny counts for them. Many thanks to all who came along and helped us to raise £328 for St Margaret’s Hospice at February’s coffee morning.
 
Aid to the Church in Need: Scottish Conference 'Courage to be Catholic'. Saturday 29th March, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, 9:30a.m. - 4:00p.m. Hear from inspiring speakers, meet representatives of Catholic organisations from around Scotland, and help build Catholic community.

SACRAMENTS IN 2025:
  • First Confession/Reconciliation Sacramental Preparation Session - will take place in St. Joseph's Church Hall, Milngavie, on Sunday, 16th March from 2:00p.m to 4:00p.m.for all candidates from St Andrew's and St Joseph's parishes.
  • First Confession/Reconciliation Service will take place in St. Andrew's Church on Saturday, 29th March from 10a.m to 11a.m.
  • The Sacrament of Confirmation will take place in Bearsden on Tuesday, 29th April at 7p.m.
  • First Holy Communion will take place on Sunday, 11th May at 12 Noon.

Jubilee of Youth, Rome, Summer 2025 – Final Places (Only five places left!) Support Group for Catholic Women Affected by Separation and Divorce The next two meetings of our support group for women affected by separation and divorce are: Friday, 28th March and Friday, 25th April, in The Immaculate Conception Church Hall, Maryhill, from 6.00p.m. to 8.00p.m. All new members are welcome to this confidential support group, which is run by women who have come through this experience themselves. The group has been running very successfully for over 3 years and is delighted to welcome women from across the Archdiocese whether they experienced this 30 years ago or more recently. Jubilee 2025, 8-9 March, Jubilee of the World of Volunteering
The heartbeat of parishes and civic communities across Scotland are the dedicated and selfless volunteers who respond to great needs and contribute their stewardship of time, talent, and treasure to the benefit of others. There are also countless Catholic volunteers who engage in domestic and international mission work in service to the poor, vulnerable, and marginalised communities.  We pray for them and thank them for their commitment and service.

Regarding young children who haven’t made their First Communion being given a blessing at Communion time. Parents who wish their child to receive a blessing must come forward, please, in the Communion line to the priest.  Many thanks.
 
Milngavie Heritage Centre. The Home Front in Bearsden and Milngavie during World War II. (1939-1954) -An exhibition on this will take place in Milngavie Library (during opening hours), Allander Road, G62 8PN from 8th March to 10th May.
 
The Beginning Experience is holding a weekend for those who find themselves suffering bereavement through divorce, separation or widowhood. The weekend will take place from 4th-6th April at Conforti Centre, Coatbridge. For details call Louise on 07926 571004 or email: [email protected]. Completed Applications must be returned by 21st March.
 
The Holy Year Prayer Cards are at the back of the church for you to take away. Please also take one to the housebound and sick of the parish.
 
Before receiving Holy Communion, we are asked to make some act of reverence such as a bow.
 
The Church is open until 5p.m. Monday to Saturday. Call in and enjoy the peace and quiet and take time to sit in the stillness in the silence of God.

Tea is served in the hut after daily Mass/Services Monday to Thursday. All most welcome.
