With it looking like brighter days ahead, it is hoped to return to having our church open all day during the week, in the not too distant future, though this will be done in stages beginning with Fridays with the church open until 5pm

First Holy Communion Meeting January 2022

21/1/2022

Huge thanks to all the parents for their time yesterday evening in coming along to the meeting for First Holy Communion.

It's good to get back to these meetings in person.

If you didn't manage along, please get in touch, as one of the things we need is parental consent to live stream the First Holy Communion Masses.

Plus, just to make sure you have the St Andrew's Squad dates (Sunday pre 10am Mass fun parish catechesis).

Phone or email.
Telephone : 0141 942 4635
Email : [email protected]

Many thanks.

Come Back to Mass

With the very much welcomed further easing of restrictions, and as we journey through this new year, it would be good to have more and more people coming back to Mass.

For your reassurance, we have two dedicated areas for social distancing in the church, which is well ventilated and safe for all at all times.

Covid Update - Removal of Omicron Restrictions

19/1/2022

Dear All,

Covid update - the removal of omicron restrictions

As you will be aware the First Minister gave her regular update today and announced some changes to the Covid restrictions in the light of the current improvements in case figures.

From Monday 24th January all the additional omicron measures – 1m distancing at social events, table service when alcohol is being sold, the closure of night clubs, and the ban on adult indoor non-professional contact sports – will be lifted. We can thereafter return to the situation as it was before the advent of omicron.

The restrictions we had before omicron, such as face coverings, good ventilation, sanitising, and the encouragement to keep using track and trace, remain in force and we should still be applying them in our parishes, both for worship and social activities.

With best wishes

Canon Paul Gargaro
Diocesan Coordinator

Today's Gospel

16/1/2022

The very last words of Our Lady in the Gospel are found in the wedding story miracle at Cana - today’s gospel - ‘Do whatever he tells you’.

There could have been no better words, no more profitable advice for each of us.
