More #ChallengePoverty Week Events
Our events calendar is filling up but there is still time to add your own event or activity!

We hope you will also find it useful in planning your week, and hope you will attend and support some of the events going on in your own area. A few events which might be of interest:

Tuesday 3rd October, 6pm-7.30pm - SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT FUTURES FORUM – A Fair and Sustainable Scotland: How fair is fair?  This event will consider how we want Scotland to change over the next 20 years. Complete equality of outcome is impossible, so what does success look like? How will we tell when we have a fair country? And what should we be doing now to build it?

Wednesday 4th October, 2pm-3pm - Where does the money go? Join Engender and the Scottish Women’s Budget Group this Challenge Poverty Week to explore the role of gender-budget analysis in preventing women’s poverty and violence against women and girls (VAWG). More info:

Wednesday 4th October, 3pm-4.30pm - What is really happening to wages in Scotland?  The STUC and the Poverty Alliance host a special session looking at how the wages of Scottish workers have been falling both in recent years, and across the decades, and consider how lack of employment income contributes to the injustice of poverty.
