The 2016 Homeless World Cup starts this Sunday through to the 16th July. For the whole week, George Square will be converted into an outdoor street football venue with 64 teams, representing 52 countries coming together to celebrate and highlight the year round life changing work of the Homeless World Cup National Partner network. Evening Pilgrimage to Carfin for St Joseph’s and St Andrew’s – this Wednesday, 13th. Bus will leave at 6.30pm at the Post Office in Milngavie and return at 9.30pm. All are very welcome. August evening pilgrimage will be Saturday, 13th.

Altar Servers. Any young member of the Parish who would like to become an Altar Server is invited to contact Chris Sanders (942 7519) or Fr. Mackle or Mgr Ryan, who will gladly take your details. This invitation is aimed particularly at those children in P IV who have just made their First Holy Communion. Training sessions will start after school summer holidays.
19 more parishioners signed up in the recent Gift Aid drive. Gift Aid Donations for 2015/16 were £61,316. Previous year’s were £59,057. We await a tax repayment from HMRC for the 2015/16 donations. Do you pay tax? Do you Gift Aid? If you’re a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the value of your offering by allowing the parish to reclaim the basic rate of tax on your offering at no extra cost to you. That’s 25p for every £1 donated. If you would like to Gift Aid your offering, please pick up a form from the porch.

Prayers of Peace for Jerusalem: A short time to pray together for Israel and Palestine and for all the people who live there. Prayers will be held in Killermont Parish Church on Sunday 24 July at 7 pm.
Internal Redecoration of the church is due to be completed this Friday. Cost - £15,951. Re-carpeting the sanctuary will be sometime in the autumn. Both are an Approved Project, which means that any donations are exempt from the archdiocesan levy, which is up to 65% of net income.
Thank you to the parishioners for the £500 donated towards the cost of internal redecoration.
