"O God, you are my God,
for you I long ;
for you my soul is thirsting."

The Rosary is recited—Each weekday morning at 9.40 before Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.

Parents of Primary 4 Children: The Piety Stall has a large selection of cards for all occasions.

Visit Scotland for Marriage website and sign the marriage petition today.

The Fourth Mystery—Priestly vocations are, above all, the fruit of the prayers of the Church.  Jesus encouraged us to pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send labourers his harvest.  A good suggestion—when you pray the rosary, whether it be at home or in the church or when driving or out for a walk, dedicate the Fourth Mystery to the intercession for priestly vocations for the Archdiocese of Glasgow.

Remember the Dead—Praying for the dead, especially during the month of November, reminds us that the Church is not confined to this world, but extends into the next as well.  By praying for the dead, as we prayed for them while they were alive, we can establish a special link with the “communion of saints”.  The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered up every day during the month of November for the Holy Souls.

Could God be calling you to the Priesthood? - Evening of catechesis, Prayer and Fraternity to help discern your vocation 2nd Friday of each month at Turnbull Ha..  Contact Fr. Keenan 339 4315/ rcchaplaincy@gla.ac.uk

John Paul Academy—Intends to take a party of 20 students to Rome next April for the Canonisation of Blessed John Paul II.  In response to the school’s recent appeal to parishes for help to meet the cost, St Andrew’s will be happy to make a contribution, which will help with sending two of the students.  It is hoped that at some stage after their return from Rome, the students could perhaps visit our parish and tell us about their experience of the Canonisation.

SPRED—Our parish SPRED group will lead the liturgy at the 12.00 Mass on Sunday 1st Dec.  Please come and join us afterwards in the Upper Hall for a cup of tea or coffee.

Pro-Life Rosary—The pro-life Rosary this month will be in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at 7.30pm on Wednesday 27th November.  All welcome

St Andrew’s Parish Christmas Fair—Will take place on Sunday 17th November after 10am and 12 noon Masses.  This will be similar to last year’s, with a selection of charities at the event.  All profits from the sale of Piety Stall cards and gifts go to St. Andrew’s Church funds.  Other groups represented will be SPRED and SCIAF.  Tea and coffee will be served at this event, in aid of The Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception who visited and spoke at the church fairly recently.  Donations of home baking would be most welcome (no nuts please).  Please come along and support this parish event.
