"I am the way and the truth and the life, says the Lord;
no one comes to the Father except through me."

Coffee Morning - Please come along and join us next Sunday in the Upper Hall following the 10.00 a.m. Mass for a chat, a cuppa and some delicious home baking. This month, we will be raising funds for Mary's Meals, as they will be at the church that day collecting any used clothing. Mary's Meals is a charity which provides life-changing meals to some of the world’s poorest children every day they attend school.  Many, many thanks to all who came along to the  August coffee morning. There was a great turnout and we raised the fantastic sum of £207 for St Margaret's Hospice!!

Today is SPRED Sunday.  SPecial REligious Development. SPRED  works within the Church to nourish accepting and inclusive communities for people with learning disabilities. We are very blessed to have our own parish SPRED group. Please pick up a SPRED leaflet from the porch. The second collection will be taken up to support SPRED’s charitable work.

Our congratulations to Rev Nick Pryce, who was ordained a Permanent Deacon here in St Andrew's on Friday evening. We wish Nick all the very best, and may the years ahead, serving as a Deacon in the archdiocese, be filled with many blessings.

Congratulations, too, to our parishioner, Gordon Reid, on becoming a Knight of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem during a ceremony this weekend (Saturday) in the Cathedral. The purpose of the Knights is to support the Christian presence in the Holy Land.
