Support For Drumchapel Foodbank As the cost of living continues to rise, please give thought to how you might contribute to St Andrew’s support for Drumchapel Foodbank. There are three ways you can help, by: (i) placing non-perishable food items in the box in the porch of the Chapel House; (ii) making a financial donation labelled “Foodbank” (cash, cheques or bank transfers to St Andrew’s Church); and (iii) volunteering to join the rota of volunteers who deliver food donations to the Foodbank on Mondays.
This involves a one-hour commitment once every month or so and requires the use of a car. Please contact Fr Mackle if you would like any further information on any of these.
Do remember that our church is now open weekdays until 5pm, and on Saturdays until after the 5pm Vigil Mass. Call in and enjoy the peace and quiet, and take time to sit in the stillness in the silence of God. Teas and coffees are served in the hut after daily 10am Mass.
All most welcome.

Laudato Si’ - On Care for our Common Home - There has been a tragic rise in the number of migrants seeking to flee from the growing poverty caused by environmental degradation. They are not recognized by international conventions as refugees; they bear the loss of the lives they have left behind, without enjoying any legal protection whatsoever. Sadly, there is widespread indifference to such suffering, which is even now taking place throughout our world. Our lack of response to these tragedies involving our brothers and sisters points to the loss of that sense of responsibility for our fellow men and women upon which all civil society is founded.
