Billings Ovulation Method Teacher Training and Teacher Training Up-Date April 26th—April 29th 2012. Venue—Schoenstatt Conference and Retreat Centre Near Lennoxtown—Fertility Care Scotland is running a training course over four days at the above centre. The course is open to residential and non-residential members and trainees, however, please note that there are evening sessions included. This is a unique opportunity for new trainees, including health professionals, who wish to become Billings Ovulation Method, teachers and for those existing teachers to update their knowledge in the light of the most recent scientific and practical findings in the field of Natural Fertility Regulation. 28th World Youth Day—At the close of World Youth Day in Madrid last summer the Holy Father announced the next World Youth Day for 2013 will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There is obviously a considerable distance and cost involved which we estimate to be in the region of £2,000—£2,5900 which will include flights, accommodation and most meals. The pilgrimage will last approximately two weeks, culminating in the final celebration with the Holy Father on Sunday 28th July 2013. Pilgrims must be 18—30 years of age by 1st July 2013 in order to take part and should have a willingness to attend meetings before and after World Youth Day and to organise parish youth events to raise funds. Parish Pilgrimage Sept 7th—15th 2012—There will be a meeting on Tuesday 21st February at 7.00 p.m. in the Lower Hall. The Pilgrimage this year is visiting Italy and Switzerland based in Locarno on Lake Maggiore and will include Mass in Milan Cathedral, visits to various famous Churches, places of interest including the world famous painting of Leo Da Vinci's "Last Supper", sails on the lake with the opportunity to visit various lakeside resorts and a Scenic Rail journey inland. Mass is celebrated daily in our Hotel. To procure our flights and hotels we must confirm our booking as soon as possible, so think about joining us for what will be another great Pilgrimage. Justice and Peace—Fairtrade Fair, 19th February. Fairtrade fortnight runs from 27th February to 11th March 2012. In advance, there will be a Fairtrade Fair after 10.00 a.m. Mass on Sunday 19th February 2012. There will be Fairtrade items to purchase, produce showcasing by a local supplier, promotional materials, a quiz with prizes and Fairtrade refreshments, together with an opportunity to suggest priorities for the Justice and Peace group.

Prof Life Group--There will be a meeting in the Hut at 8.00 p.m. on Wednesday 22nd February. There is lots to talk about: Margo MacDonald's second attempt to put a Bill through the Scottish Parliament to legalise assisted suicide; the recent case of two nurses who went to court to protect their right to conscience; the go-ahead for T.V. advertising by abortion providers, and recent medical trials involving human embryonic stem cells. Everybody welcome.
