New P1 Welcome afternoon – today Sunday 2- 3.30pm in the hall. Teas / coffees , juice & cakes will be served. An opportunity for new P1 families to get together before starting school, and an introduction to St Joseph’s and St Andrew’s links with St Nicholas’, along with, of course, some fun and games.
P7 leavers’ Party – this Friday 17th June in the upper hall. The Leavers’ Mass will be held on 21st June at 7pm in St Nicholas’.
St Andrew's Lunch Club - A small group of parishioners are planning to start a Lunch Club in the lower hall where “ everyone will be welcome". The aim is that it should be an informal fortnightly event in a safe and friendly environment, where everyone would have the opportunity to socialise, have a chat and a light lunch.
The first lunch September ie 13th Sept ~ so that’s one for the diary! In the meantime please give the proposed Lunch club your sincere consideration and help make it a happy friendly place to meet up with old and new friends. Fr John Campbell, Diocesan Synod Coordinator, has written to all parishes thanking them for their hard work in engaging in the Synod process, with a particular thanks to all Deans for all their extra work in synthesising the deaneries’ responses. The Diocesan Synod Team’s Response will be presented to Archbishop Nolan in the Cathedral at 7pm on Sunday 19th June during Evening Prayer. Hopefully, many from our parish will be free to attend. Details of our parish’s and deanery’s responses will be published soon.
Interested in becoming a Catholic?– Not baptised? Baptised in another faith? RCIA will begin in the autumn. The programme of learning and instruction prepares adults for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Please speak to Fr. Calling all youth and young adults in St Joseph’s and St Andrew’s: Join with others your age across the Archdiocese of Glasgow on an experience of a lifetime, the World Youth Day trip to Lisbon in 2023. There is a minimum age 16 from February 1, up to the age of 35 at the time of the trip. Details of costs and dates will be advised soon.
