Marys meals- Many thanks for all your donations of old mobile phones and cartridges. We gathered 26 phones and 45 cartridges which will be recycled to provide funds for Mary's meals to feed chronically hungry children in schools across the world.

Thank You from John Paul Academy – “for your extremely generous contribution to our pilgrimage to Rome. You have enabled two of our S6 students to attend this momentous occasion for our school; the canonisation of John Paul II. We would be delighted to visit your parish on our return and share all our experiences and learning.” Pope Francis will declare Blessed John XXIII and John Paul II as saints at a single ceremony on April 27th.
Sacrament of Reconciliation – Pope Francis has called for a greater use of the Sacrament of Penance to seek God's Forgiveness, Reconciliation and Peace. Please approach this Sacrament before Easter.

Remember in your prayers please John Harper and Robbie McKechnie who will be baptised are receive the Sacraments for the first time at next Saturday night’s Easter Vigil Mass. Refreshments will be served in the hall after Mass.
The washing of the feet of chosen men which, according to tradition, is performed at the Holy Thursday Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper, represents the service and charity of Christ, who came ‘not to be served, but to serve’. Volunteers needed, please. Sign up sheet in the porch.
Good Friday Veneration of the Cross – a crucifix will be used for this year’s Good Friday ceremonies. This may mean that the ceremonies will take a little longer. We offer our time out of gratitude and love for the One who entered time and died and rose from the dead for us.

Padre Pio Prayer Group – No meetings on Monday 14th & 21st April. Meetings resume 28th April at 7 pm.
Lenten Station Mass – A big thank you to everyone who was involved in various ways in the preparation and participation of the liturgy, and to all who prepared the hall and looked after serving the teas & coffees. It was a really good turn out, and an honour for us to be the host parish this year for the Station Mass. It was also a delight for us to welcome Archbishop Tartaglia on this his first pastoral visit to St Andrew’s.
Future Parish Pastoral Provision. The PPC will meet on Thursday, 24th April at 7pm in the Upper Hall to prepare for the deanery’s strategic meeting.

St Andrew’s Parish Groups - Annual Return 2013/2014 Our Parish return to the Diocese will shortly be due and must include those accounts for the various St Andrew’s Parish Groups/Activities. As a partial return has already been made to 04 October 2013 please advise me with following information covering the period 5 October 2013 to 31 March 2014. viz:-
1. Name of Group/Activity; office holder name and contact telephone number.
2. A copy of your Group accounts for the period 05 October 2013 to 31 March 2014 inclusive. ( Income/Expenditure accounts will suffice)
Sight of the group bank book/statements for period 05 October 2013 to 31 March 2014 together with any comment you deem relevant to the group finances.
