Nick Pryce will be ordained a Permanent Deacon on Friday 8th September by Archbishop Tartaglia at 6pm Mass here in St Andrew’s, followed by a reception in the hall to which everyone is invited. Keep Nick and Trish and their family in your prayers these weeks as he prepares for Ordination.

Baptism Course – parents and godparents of children to be baptised soon are asked to attend the next preparation course on Thursday, 7th September at 7pm.
Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated for P7 pupils of St Andrew’s and St Joseph’s Parishes in St Joseph’s Church 7pm 6th February 2018. Enrolment forms available in the porch to be returned please as soon as possible. There will be a meeting for parents and sponsors on Thursday 28th September 2017 at 7pm in St Joseph’s Church Hall, Milngavie.
Celebrate Scotland – 2-3 Sept. St Ninian’s High, Giffnock. Catholic Charismatic Weekend Conference. There is the opportunity for lively worship, contemplative adoration, celebration of Holy Mass, as well as individual prayer ministry. This year’s theme is “Seek first his Kingdom”. Parish recently received a great boost - £16,139 in tax repayments from our latest Gift Aid claim. Do you pay tax? Do you Gift Aid? If you’re a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the value of your offering by allowing the parish to reclaim the basic rate of tax on your offering at no extra cost to you. Mary’s Meals clothing collection. Volunteers from Mary's Meals will be here on the weekend of 16th and 17th September to collect any used clothing. A second collection will be taken up to support this important charity.

Coffee Morning—Sunday 20th August—Please come along and join us on Sunday 20th August for the first coffee morning after the holidays, in the Upper Hall following the 10.00 a.m. Mass. Thanks to all who came along to the last coffee morning we had in June, at which we raised £200.00—a great amount for the Redemptorists Zimbabwe Missio.
