Altar Servers’ Awards. Four Servers are due to be enrolled officially into the Archconfraternity of St. Stephen (Kirsty Kennedy was last Sunday at the 10am Mass and Katie Paterson, John Woods and David Speirs this weekend at the Vigil Mass). Each will receive the familiar bronze medal on a red cord, as they have demonstrated, by assisting at Mass regularly for over two years, their commitment to their parish ministry by serving at the Altar. Acknowledgement of long-standing service was made last weekend to Mairi Docherty who has served faithfully for over 5 years, this recognition was marked by exchanging her red cord for a yellow cord. Well done and congratulations to all concerned. We are very fortunate at St. Andrew’s to have a number of good and committed Servers. Although four lads have recently started serving, there is a real need for more Altar Servers: any approach to Fr Mackle or Chris Sanders will be most welcome.

This is the last coffee morning of this year so, please, join us if you can. This month we will be raising funds for the St Nicholas Care Fund. When you give to the St Nicholas Care Fund, you give collectively to so many different kinds of good causes. Many more than you would be able to help individually. Everything the Fund gives is in your name - your support: Changes the lives of children living in poverty; Helps support parents bring up their families; Helps families to stay together by supporting grandparents as Kinship Carers. Many thanks to all who came along to the Christmas Fair in November. The sum of £245 was raised from the teas and coffees for Alzheimer's Scotland which was a fantastic amount. Yet again, thank you for attending and for your generosity.
