Prayer service for an end to Human Trafficking- Pope Francis' message to 103rd Session of International Labour Conference in May this year is that " human trafficking is a scourge, a crime against the whole of humanity. It is time to join forces and work together to free its victims and to eradicate this crime that affects us all." 25th Silver Anniversary Celebration. I would like to thank everyone who helped make Father Mackle’s Special Day such a success. The Mass was just perfect and the reception thoroughly enjoyed by all. Sincere thanks to all the bakers for the great variety of cakes and to Cafe Creme for the outstanding buffet and their help in serving it. The Halls Committee presented a caricature to Fr. Mackle in the hall last Thursday. Due to the large number attending, very few people were able to see it, therefore we have put a copy of it on display in the porch. Please enjoy a giggle at his expense!!!!!!!
Mother Teresa Exhibition documenting the life, spirituality and message of Blessed Mother Teresa is being staged at St Mungo's, 19 July to 2 August. Made up of 78 panels, it documents the story the life of the remarkable Missionary of Charity from her birth in Albania in 1910 to her death in Calcutta in 1997. It tells of her journey from her fist religious steps as a teenage nun to her incredible missionary work in India. Entry is free, and a short film to accompany the exhibition will be shown on Sunday 20 July at 3pm.
