Our Parish SPRED group will lead the Liturgy at 12 noon Mass today. Please join us at this Mass, and afterwards in the Upper Hall for chat and refreshments.
 
A Passover Meal is planned for Wed 23rd March at 7:30pm in the Upper Hall. As this event involves quite a bit of preparation we need to gauge how much support it will have from Parishioners before confirming that it will definitely go ahead. If you intend to participate in this event please add your name to the list on the noticeboard in the porch. If you can help with set up preparations on the day after the 10 am Morning Mass please add your name to the right hand column on the list. Thank You.
 
Please keep in your prayers Jackie and Geoff Harrison as they journey through these final weeks of Lent to become Catholics this Easter.
 
Day of Confessions - The Sacrament of Reconciliation will take place in St Andrew's Cathedral this Friday 18 March from 8.00am until 7.00pm continuously. All welcome. Year of Mercy Divine Mercy Evening in St. Andrew’s Upper Hall this Thursday 17th March at 7:30pm. Artistic DVD Presentation on Divine Mercy. Bookstall and prints will be available for sale. All most welcome.
 
Reflecting on God’s Mercy in the Jubilee Year - A series of Lenten guided reflections continues with different speakers on the theme of mercy - Wednesday evenings at 7pm in Immaculate Conception Hall. Please see the poster for details.
 
Maryhill Foodbank - The economic, social and political causes of deprivation in many areas of Glasgow are given wide publicity in the media. Maryhill is one such area closest to Bearsden. Please help by giving donations of non-perishable goods e.g. cans, rice, pasta, sauces, toilet rolls, nappies. Items donated are collected every Monday morning and taken to Maryhill Foodbank. Thank your for your help.
 
Youth Committee - The next meeting of the Youth Committee is on Tuesday 29th March at 7pm in the chapel-house.
 
Evening Mass of the Lord's Supper - Holy Thursday, 24th March at 7.30pm - The washing of the feet. Volunteers needed, please. Sign up sheet in the porch.
 
Sacrament of Reconciliation – Times for First Confession for Primary Three. During The Season of Lent up until 27th March.  Saturdays 10.30am – 11.00am; & 5.15pm – 5.45pm; Sundays 9.15 – 9.40am. Family members are encouraged too to take the opportunity to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
 
Big Clean for Easter: In preparation for Easter, the Church will be cleaned on Wed 23rd March after 10am Mass. We are looking for as many volunteers as possible please (men as well as women) to come along and help with this essential task.
 
SCIAF Wee boxes to be returned please by Easter Sunday at the latest.
 
St. Andrew`s Parish is recruiting for the Young Musicians Group who sing and play at the Saturday evening vigil Mass once a month. Enthusiastic singers or instrumentalists of Grade 3 or above are welcome! If you would be interested in joining this group please phone Nick Joint on 07743 473420 if you have any questions.
 
Knights of St Columba  – a body of Catholic laymen committed to helping the mission and doctrine of the Church, is looking to recruit new members in this Year of Mercy. Invite someone you know back to Mass in this Year of Mercy
. All of us know someone who has stopped going to Mass. Invite someone you know who no longer attends to return in this special Year of Mercy.

Earth Hour “This sister [the earth] now cries out to us because of the harm we have inflicted on her by our irresponsible use and abuse of the goods with which God has endowed her” (Pope Francis: Laudato Si).
