Next St Andrews Squad (SAS) ~ 20th March , for all Primary 3 children in the parish celebrating the sacrament of Reconciliation this Lent. Please come along to the Upper Hall from 9am till 9.45am leading into 10am Mass with children’s liturgy.
Almost 40 Primary Three children, this weekend and next, will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation ~ encountering God’s love and mercy in this beautiful Sacrament! Keep them in your prayers for they look forward to their First Confession and also to their First Holy Communion next year.
The retiring collection this weekend and next is to support the sick and retired priests of our archdiocese.
Plate offerings. With the most recent easing of restrictions, the practice of passing round the basket to collect offerings will resume weekend 26 / 27 March.
On Friday 25th March, the Feast of the Annunciation, the Legion of Mary will be praying on the hour throughout the day until 5.00 p.m. a Public Rosary for the Unborn Child. The first hour will start at 12 noon with the Angelus and the Rosary, and then proceed with the Rosary being prayed each hour on the hour.
Drumchapel Foodbank have expressed their thanks for the tremendous support given by our parish weekly. Donations during Lent, especially to help families during the Easter school holiday, can be left in the house porch and will be very gratefully received.

Meditation Corner ~ Over a period of almost three months from May to July 2020, during the “first wave” of the COVID 19 pandemic when all churches and places of worship were closed (at the suggestion of a parishioner) Monsignor Ryan sought to raise the spirits of the congregation at St. Andrew’s by sharing his reflections on eleven poems. These reflections, which became known as “Meditation Corner”, are now contained in a booklet which will be available in the Porch this weekend at the price of £10.
