"This is my chosen Son; listen to him."

We are now in the second week of Lent, and we should remember that the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays has been restored. We should see this as an opportunity to come together again as a community of faith to listen to the Word of God and be nourished by the body of Christ. Come back to Mass! As always, the obligation does not apply to those who are sick, and their carers, or to those who have greater vulnerability to the virus. Note that the children’s liturgy has resumed at 10am Sunday Mass.

Meditation Corner ~ Over a period of almost three months from May to July 2020, during the “first wave” of the COVID 19 pandemic when all churches and places of worship were closed (at the suggestion of a parishioner) Monsignor Ryan sought to raise the spirits of the congregation at St. Andrew’s by sharing his reflections on eleven poems. These reflections, which became known as “Meditation Corner”, are now contained in a booklet which will be available in the Porch this weekend at the price of £10.
ALL PROFITS WILL GO TO ST. MARGARET’S HOSPICE, CLYDEBANK.
