We are making another appeal for volunteers to clean the church. Many thanks to those who have already volunteered. We could do with some more, though. You would be part of a team and be on once a month for a couple of hours.

At this time of our Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes we think of Michelle, Gillian and Bernadette from St Andrew’s, and all the pilgrims, and hope that they have a safe and spiritual journey. We pray for them as they pray for us and wish God’s and Our Lady of Lourdes’ Blessings on them all. All Petitions have been taken and will be placed where Our Lady appeared to Bernadette at the Grotto in Lourdes.

30th July is World Day against People trafficking which is the fastest growing crime globally. At any given time, an estimated 2.5 million people are trapped in modern-day slavery. Men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers both in their own countries and abroad. Every country in the world is affected by human trafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims. Please say a prayer and be aware of victims of human trafficking.

Drumchapel Foodbank As school meals are not provided during school holidays, many families are under additional pressure to provide for their children. If you're able to bring even just one tinned meal to Mass each week over the summer months and leave in the porch, these would be very gratefully received. Many thanks.
Nullity of Marriage – If you wish (or someone you know wishes) any information about approaching the tribunal to see about a declaration of nullity of marriage then please speak to Fr Mackle. Remember too that the marriage tribunal no longer charges fees, so that for most people there will be no costs involved.

Mary’s Meals be visiting the parish to collect any unwanted clothing, rags etc for recycling on Sunday 2nd September.They regret that they cannot take duvets and pillows. They will also sell raffle tickets after each Mass.
The church will continue to be open until 7pm each Tues & Fri until 4 September for anyone who might want to call in for some peace and quiet prayer time.

The Legion of Mary - new members always welcome. The Legion sees as its priority the spiritual and social welfare of each individual. Members participate in the life of the parish through visitation of families, and the sick, both in their homes and in hospitals. Every legionary is required to carry out two hours apostolic work each week. The object of the Legion of Mary is the Glory of God through the holiness of its members developed by prayer and active cooperation in Mary’s and the Church’s work. St Andrew’s Parish’s Legion meets on Mondays at 4pm in the Hut.
