Scottish Classical singer Martin Aelred charity fundraising concert in aid of “Let The Children Live” next Sunday at 7.00pm here in the church. Organised by the parish’s Justice & Peace Group. Tickets just £5 (children’s tickets are free) and are available on the night of the concert. Refreshments will be served in the hall after the concert, and there will also be a raffle with plenty good prizes to be won.
Catholic Youth Festival - Stirling 2015 30 July to 2 August, University of Stirling Campus. WYD 2013 saw over two million young pilgrims join Pope Francis in Rio de Janeiro. Inspired by WYD 2013 and previous WYDs, young people are invited to experience the fun, prayer and joy of a World Youth Day this summer in Stirling where they will join young people from across Scotland and beyond. The event is open to those 14 -25 years of age. Cost - £150. St Andrew’s parishioners, please get your thinking caps on for fund-raising ideas. The parish would like to give as many of our young people as possible the opportunity to attend the Catholic Youth Festival. Recruitment weekend. Altar Servers, Extraordinary Ministers, Musicians, Passkeepers, Readers, SVDP and the Children’s Liturgy. We are looking for new members for each of these groups. If you think that you would like to contribute to the parish life through assisting with one of these groups, why don’t you join us for a tea and a chat in the hall after one of the Masses this weekend? During Lent the second collection is for the sick and retired priests of the Archdiocese, except for today, the 4th Sunday which is for SCIAF. Please Gift Aid your SCIAF donation if you can.
