Coffee Morning -Please come along and join us for a cuppa, a chat and some delicious home baking on Sunday, 23rd April after 10am Mass in the Upper Hall. This month we will be raising funds SCIAF's urgent appeal to help get food and water to thousands of people being affected by famine and hunger in East Africa. The United Nations has warned that over 20 million people could face starvation in the worst humanitarian crisis since its creation in 1945, so please come along and support this very worthwhile cause. Thanks also to all who came along to last month's coffee morning. The sum of £115 was raised for Inclusive Skating. Also, there is a letter from The National Autistic Society on the Narthex Board, thanking us for the £110 raised at February's coffee morning.
As part of Autism Awareness month, St Andrew’s Primary PTA are organising a coffee morning with a raffle on Friday 28th April from 9am until 11.30am in the school hall, with all proceeds going to Scottish Autism in Glasgow. Please join us - all welcome.
Many thanks for the generous donation received recently for the Spirit of Peace Golden Jubilee Garden. The garden’s official opening will be Friday 19th May at 12.30pm with buffet lunch. Save the date.
Kirkintilloch to Schoenstatt 5oth Anniversary walk Sunday 7th May. Meet at the car park at St Andrew’s leaving for walk at 1:15pm by bus to Kirkintilloch. Bus will drop off at the start of the walk along the old Strathkelvin railway. Distance is approximately 5 miles on a good path suitable for buggies and prams. Drinks and snacks will be available to all at Schoenstatt. Please ensure suitable footwear and clothing for the day. Bus will pick up at approximately 4:30pm to return to St. Andrew’s. There is a sign-up sheet for those interested at the back of the church.

Our parish celebrations coincide with the Lisbon Lions’ 50th anniversary, and a joint celebration is planned for Friday, May 12, in the upper hall from 7.30pm until 10.30pm.
This is a family event, and Lisbon Lion Jim Craig, a former parishioner, will compère the evening. There will be a quiz and a screening of highlights of that famous 1967 match.
