Festive Teas and Coffees – after 10am Mass. Please join us for mince pies and tea/coffee/mulled wine in the Upper Hall. This is the last coffee morning of this year so, please join us if you can.month we will be raising funds for the St Nicholas Care Fund. When you give to the St Nicholas Care Fund, you give collectively to so many different kinds of good causes. Many more than you would be able to help individually. Your support:-Changeslives of children living in poverty; helpsparents bring up their families; helpsfamilies to stay together by supporting grandparents as Kinship Carers.We take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support and generosity and to wish you all, the compliments of the season. Archdiocesan St Nicholas Care Fund. The projects funded are in the main to help children and young people, special needs’ groups and senior citizens. Our second collection at all Masses this weekend will be for this fund. St Nicholas take home collection boxes available in the porch to be returned please by 13thJan. Many thanks.
 
Monsignor Ryan is currently recuperating in St Joseph’s Nursing Home, Robroyston, after prostate surgery, and is very grateful for your prayers and get well wishes.

New Year's Eve - 11.30pm followed by Seasonal Refreshments.
New Year's Day - 10am
 
10pm Mass on Christmas Eve– Similar to last year, as we feel that an earlier time is better suited for many people, there will be no Midnight Mass for Christmas 2018, and instead there will be a Mass at 10pm. The Christmas Carol Service will begin at 9.30pm. In our parish cluster, there will still be a 12 Midnight Mass in St Joseph’s.

Confessions for Christmas - 17th Dec – 9.30am – 9.50am; 18thDec – 9.30am – 9.50am & 6-7pm; 19thDec 9.30am – 9.50am; 20thDec – 9.30- 9.50; 21stDec 9.30am – 9.50am & 6-7pm;  - 22nd  Dec – 10.30-11.00am & 5.15-5.45pm; Dec 23rd9.15 - 9.40am ; Christmas Eve – 9.15-9.40am & 6-7pm; Christmas Day - 9.15 - 9.40am. Saturday Vigil Mass- Beginning Saturday, January 5th 2019, the Saturday Vigil Mass will begin one hour earlier. For a trial period, Mass will begin at 5pm. Sacrament of Reconciliation will be 4.15pm – 4.45pm. These new times will be reviewed after six months.

Advent Day of Confessions in St Andrew’s Cathedral- 7.45am  until 5.45pm on Thurs 20th Dec. This may be handy for you if you are in the city centre for work or shopping.

The 2019 edition of The Western Catholic Calendaris now on sale in the piety stall, priced £3.20.
 
Youth – Many thanks to all who helped look after the arrangements and preparations for last week’s St Joseph’s / St Andrew’s Advent Nightfever and to all who came along to it. Next youth events for our two parishes – Sunday 27thJanuary – NET Ministry will lead a Faith/Fun Day for our young people beginning with 10am Mass in St Andrew’s through to 2pm.  On Saturday 16thMarch, there will be a Youth Fun Evening with games, open mic, disco and food in St Joseph’s.
 
We are very pleased to have the embroidered panel of St Nicholas on display here in St Andrew’s. Later next year, it will be on display in St Joseph’s for parishioners and children there to view. Thereafter, once the school’s wall hanging restrictions have been lifted, it will be given to the school.
 
St. Andrew's Whist Drive Christmas Party will take place Monday 17th December, beginning at 7.30pm, in the Lower Hall. Everyone is welcome regardless of ability. Someone will be on hand to help if you are a beginner. It is, essentially, a social night. £3 includes admission, raffle ticket and tea/coffee. Come along for a great night. Want to learn Ceilidh Dancing? Bring your enthusiasm and comfy shoes to St Joseph’s Hall 7.30pm – 9pm beginning Tues 15thJanuary.
 
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament– each Saturday from 10.30am until 12.30pm. Please consider coming to spend some time in adoration and prayer each Saturday.
 
The P4-P7 Children’s Liturgyare looking for some young helpers.If you are doing the Duke of Edinburgh Awards or the Caritas Award you will receive credit towards your award or if you would like to just volunteer your help would be greatly appreciated. Volunteers should be in at least 3rdat High School. if you would like to assist with the P4-P7’s Liturgy at the 10 O’clock Mass on a Sunday please speak to Father Mackle or contact Sharon Warner at [email protected]

Safeguarding Code of Conduct.  All volunteers within St Andrew’s including those who do not require PVG, please collect from the sacristy your copy. A copy is displayed on the noticebaords  in the church and hall  next to the Safeguarding poster.

Daily Mass is celebrated in St Andrew’s Monday to Saturday at 10am. All are most welcome.  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is every Saturday from after 10am Mass until 12.30pm  
 
St Margaret’s Adoption Society:We are currently looking to recruit prospective adopters. Christmas Appeal - Drumchapel Foodbank. The number of families now dependent on the foodbank, and the number of emergencies, are rising fast. If everyone coming to Mass in St Andrew's at Christmas could donate at least oneof meal in a can (tinned mac n cheese, tinned curry, tinned stew) this would be of great help. Collection boxes are taken from porch every Monday morning. Thank you for your help.
 
Primary Three Parents- First Confession Parents Meeting - 17th January 2019 at 7pm in St Nicholas’ Primary.      
Primary Four Parents- First Holy Communion Parents Meeting 31st January 2019 at 7pm in St Nicholas’ Primary.
 
Church Cleaning Team –We still need a few more volunteers please to complete a 4 week rota. Would you be free for an hour and a half on a weekday afternoon once a month to help with church cleaning? If so, speak to Father Mackle.
