10pm Mass on Christmas Eve– Similar to last year, as we feel that an earlier time is better suited for many people, there will be no Midnight Mass for Christmas 2018, and instead there will be a Mass at 10pm. The Christmas Carol Service will begin at 9.30pm. In our parish cluster, there will still be a 12 Midnight Mass in St Joseph’s.

Saturday Vigil Mass- Beginning Saturday, January 5th 2019, the Saturday Vigil Mass will begin one hour earlier. For a trial period, Mass will begin at 5pm. Sacrament of Reconciliation will be 4.15pm – 4.45pm. These new times will be reviewed after six months.
Advent Day of Confessions in St Andrew’s Cathedral- 7.45am until 5.45pm on Thurs 20th Dec. This may be handy for you if you are in the city centre for work or shopping.

Youth – Many thanks to all who helped look after the arrangements and preparations for last week’s St Joseph’s / St Andrew’s Advent Nightfever and to all who came along to it. Next youth events for our two parishes – Sunday 27thJanuary – NET Ministry will lead a Faith/Fun Day for our young people beginning with 10am Mass in St Andrew’s through to 2pm. On Saturday 16thMarch, there will be a Youth Fun Evening with games, open mic, disco and food in St Joseph’s.
We are very pleased to have the embroidered panel of St Nicholas on display here in St Andrew’s. Later next year, it will be on display in St Joseph’s for parishioners and children there to view. Thereafter, once the school’s wall hanging restrictions have been lifted, it will be given to the school.
St. Andrew's Whist Drive Christmas Party will take place Monday 17th December, beginning at 7.30pm, in the Lower Hall. Everyone is welcome regardless of ability. Someone will be on hand to help if you are a beginner. It is, essentially, a social night. £3 includes admission, raffle ticket and tea/coffee. Come along for a great night. Christmas Appeal - Drumchapel Foodbank. The number of families now dependent on the foodbank, and the number of emergencies, are rising fast. If everyone coming to Mass in St Andrew's at Christmas could donate at least oneof meal in a can (tinned mac n cheese, tinned curry, tinned stew) this would be of great help. Collection boxes are taken from porch every Monday morning. Thank you for your help.
