The shrine to Our Lady has been relocated to the left hand side of the Baptism mosaic. This location should be more conducive, hopefully, for prayer and devotion to Our Lady, especially for times before and after Masses.
Lentfest 2020 Art exhibition 13th - 18th March. We need to make sure that the exhibition is attended by someone at all times from 10.30am - 4.30pm each day. We are looking for help. Please sign up for one or two hours as an invigilator. It would be greatly appreciated.
Coffee Morning today, Sunday Please come along and join us in the upper hall, after 10 am Mass, for tea, coffee and some delicious home baking. This month we are raising funds for our local branch of ENABLE, a Scottish charity, working for an equal society for every person who has a learning disability. The charity runs a club on a Tuesday from the Youth Cafe in Milngavie where those attending can meet friends and participate in craft work and play dominoes and pool. The charity is run by volunteers.
Baptism Preparation Evening – Thursday 5th March at 7pm in the Hut for parents and godparents whose child’s baptism is to be celebrated soon.
Lent Reboot – Youth Lenten Evening – It was great the turnout for the recent NET Day. We’re hoping for an equally good turnout for our next youth event, Lent Reboot. Saturday 21st March 6.30-8.30pm, after the 5.30pm Vigil @ St Joseph’s Main Hall – for all in P6 – S3 in the cluster a chance to reboot your relationship with Jesus and your Faith. Games, activities, fun & friendship, & lovely homemade soup and bread.

Sacrament of Confirmation for P7 pupils of St Andrew's and St Joseph's - Andrew's 7pm 13th May. All enrolment forms should have been handed in by now. There is a meeting for parents and sponsors of P7 pupils preparing for Confirmation this Thurs, Feb 20th at 6pm in St Andrew’s Upper Hall.

“Our Lady, Disciple of Christ, Mother of the Church” - a talk which will be given by Father Mark Cassidy on Thursday 12th March at 7pm in the Upper Hall. Father Cassidy is a former naval chaplain and Spiritual Director at the Scots College in Rome and currently the parish priest of St Mary’s Lochee, St Columba’s and Ss Leonard and Fergus, Dundee. Using Scripture passages Father Cassidy will help us consider the way in which Our Lady is a true model for our discipleship of Christ. Please come and join in the discussion.

World Day of Prayer - This year we are honoured to have been invited to host the Service for local Churches here at St. Andrew’s at 10.30am on Friday 6th March. Mass will be celebrated at the earlier time of 9.00am. WDoP is an international, ecumenical, prayer movement initiated and carried out by Christian women in more than 180 countries and over 1000 languages. Every year Christians of many traditions and all ages, celebrate a common day of prayer on the first Friday in March.
Day of Prayer for those who have suffered abuse. In accordance with the wishes of Pope Francis to set aside a Day of Prayer each year for those who have suffered abuse, the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland has designated Friday after Ash Wednesday, which this year falls on Friday 28th February. There will be Lenten Stations of the Cross at 7pm, and the church will be open all day for anyone who might want to call in for a time of quiet prayer.

The Archdiocesan Safeguarding Office has confirmed that they will arrange for an ID verifier to come out to St Andrew’s Parish to verify the forms of all who require their PVG to be updated. More details soon.
