Coffee Morning--After 10am Mass on Sunday 16th June.  This is the last coffee morning until August so please come along and support us.  This month we are raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.  As always, donations of home baking (no nuts please) most welcome.  Thanks to those who came along to April’s coffee morning.  The sum of £80 was raised for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice who are fundraising to set up a unit for 12-16 year olds.

Welcome— to the Family and friends of Mark Sanders, attending Mass on the occasion of his anniversary on Sunday 16th June at 12 noon.

Assisted Parishes—Second collections on Saturday/Sunday 15th/16th June.

Altar Servers’ Awards—This weekend, six Servers (Erin Bissette, Mairi Docherty, Molly Ellis, Niamh Hannah, Mhairi Hendry & Lana Turso) are due to be officially enrolled into the Arch confraternity of St. Stephen and each will receive the familiar bronze medal on a red cord.  All six have demonstrated, by assisting at Mass regularly for over two years, their commitment to their parish ministry by serving at the Altar.  At the same time, acknowledgement of long-standing service is also being made to two Servers (Olenka Drozdziak & Niamh Mitchell), each of whom has served faithfully for over 5 years, this recognition being marked by exchanging their red cord for a yellow cord.  Well done and congratulations to all concerned.  We are very fortunate at St. Andrew’s to have so many (32) good and committed Servers.
If there is any young member of the Parish (Primary 4 or above) who would like to become an Altar Server, please contact Chris Saunders (942 7519) or Fr Donnelly who will gladly take your details.  Training sessions are due to start soon after the schools return in August, but it would be helpful to gather names and contact details of recruits now to be able to make as early a start after the summer holidays.
