WYD 2016 – Next Saturday, Kathleen, Hannah, Caragh, Niall and Liam will leave for World Youth Day to join an expected one million young pilgrims in Krakow. We look forward to following their blog on parish facebook. Pope Francis will be welcomed to WYD on Thursday 28th July. He'll lead the Way of the Cross on the Friday, and celebrate the Vigil Mass at Campus Misericordia near Krakow on the Saturday evening. You can also follow the celebrations on EWTN.
Pope Francis has formally approved Mother Teresa's elevation to sainthood and set 4th Sept as the date for her canonisation. The move comes 19 years after the death of the missionary nun who dedicated most of her adult life to working with the poor of India. Blessed Mother Teresa died on 5 September 1997 and was beatified just six years later by St. John Paul II.
Safeguarding Training Volunteers who work in the parish with children and/or vulnerable adults, who weren't free to attend the safeguarding training on 21st March in St Margaret's, Clydebank, are asked to attend a training evening on Monday 29th August, 7-9pm in Eyre Hall, 196 Clyde Street, G1 4JY. Evening Pilgrimage to Carfin for St Joseph’s and St Andrew’s – Saturday 13th August. Bus will leave at 6.30pm at the Post Office in Milngavie and return at 9.30pm. All are very welcome.

Altar Servers. Any young member of the Parish who would like to become an Altar Server is invited to contact Chris Sanders (942 7519) or Fr. Mackle or Mgr Ryan, who will gladly take your details. This invitation is aimed particularly at those children in P IV who have just made their First Holy Communion. Training sessions will start after school summer holidays.
