Christmas Soup Run—Many thanks to all those who, very generously, contributed gifts for the Christmas Soup Run. Through your kindness we were able to deliver a bit of Christmas cheer to about 60 homeless men. Also thanks to those of you who unfailingly provide the soup, sandwiches etc. throughout the year. Without your continued support we would find it difficult to continue with this worthwhile work. A small number of gifts remain and shall be distributed through the Lodging House Mission in Glasgow. Any enquiries to Phyllis on 0141 570 1343

SVDP Christmas Appeal—St. Andrews’ SVDP will soon launch their Christmas Appeal. 1st 3 Sunday of Advent. Last Year thanks to your wonderful generosity more than £2000 was raised and all of this went to where we felt it was best directed; needy families locally; toys for children of poor families in Govan. Most went to those families, including very grateful asylum seekers, identified by our friends in St. Laurence’s SVDP in Drumchapel. As well as all who helped, we are particularly grateful to Kay Dick of the Padre Pio Prayer Group and other individual parishioners who responded so well, and in some cases, in a very substantial manner. Thank you in anticipation.
