Raffle prizes will be gratefully received nearer the time and we will also be looking for volunteers for the come-backappearance(for one night only)the pop-up choir so get your vocal chords in order! Mass for Newly-Married Couples will be celebrated bytheArchbishop on Sunday 7th October at 3pm in St Andrew’s Cathedral. All the recently married in St Andrew’s are most welcome, as are their families and friends.
St. Andrew’s Whist Group--It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death of one of our members—Elsie Spencer. She was not one of the congregation at St. Andrew’s but was very much a stalwart at the whist drive. Her funeral will take place on Tuesday 21st August at Clydebank Crematorium. I will be going and if anyone else is available and needs a lift, then place contact me (Susan Morrison) on 07397319029.
Centenary Mass for Teachers and School Staff -This year Mass takes place during the Centenary of our celebrations of the 1918 Education Act. The Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 30th August 2018 at 6.15 p.m. in St. Andrew’s Cathedral. There will be a celebration buffet in the Eyre Hall after the Mass.
Retreat—Legion of Mary: Invite you to join them on Retreat at Schoenstatt on Saturday 8th September 2018 at 10.00 a.m to 4.00 p.m. Cost £10.00. Sister Margareta will lead the retreat for the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Father Mackle will celebrate Mass and Benediction. Tea and coffee will be available on arrival but Packed Lunches are required for lunch time. Transport will be available for those who do not have a car. See programme at the back of the church.
