Ordination - Deacon Frank Trias will be ordained a priest for the Congregation of the Passionists on Saturday, 12th December at 11am Mass in St Mungo’s, Townhead, and celebrate his first Mass here in St Andrew's at 10am on Sunday, 13th December. Keep Frank in your prayers during the course of the coming months as he prepares for Ordination to Priesthood.

A gentle afternoon for carers to receive refreshment, a space to rest, reflect and be renewed. Last Tuesday of each month, 1.30- 4pm at the Ignatian Spirituality Centre, 35 Scott St. Call 354 0077.
Emmaus Glasgow provides living and workspace for up to 24 previously homeless companions and is located in Hamiltonhill. Donations of furniture welcome. Call Celia 342 4089. Van Mon—Sat to collect for free.
Launch of two Bearsden Defibrillators - at the one on the Drymen Hall wall of All Saints' Episcopal Church (opposite M&S) on Tuesday August 4th at 11.00am. It is hoped that there will be representation from each of the five churches. If you would be free that morning to represent St Andrew's, please say to Fr Mackle.
Prisoner Support Programme – The Low Moss Chaplaincy Team is looking for volunteers who are interested in working with prisoners and ex-offenders on their release from jail. Volunteers will receive free training with ongoing support and supervision. Please see flyer in porch or contact Hugh Foy [email protected] for more details.
Next World Youth Day will be from 25 July to 31 July 2016 in Krakow with 2 million young people from all over the world expected to attend. The 7 day event will include international speakers, world renowned Catholic musicians, youth based prayer and liturgies and lots of fun! For more information please see www.krakow2016.com. Coordinator required - If anyone would be interested in taking on the role of co-ordinator of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, for a fixed term of 2 years from September, could they please say to Frank Bonnar or Fr Mackle. It involves drawing up the rota every quarter and sending it out to all by email, and also attending the liturgy group meetings (four times a year).
