Please join us at the St Andrew’s Parish Golden Jubilee Christmas Fair – today, Sunday 19th November after the 10am and 12 noon Masses.A selection of charities from the parish at the Fair.All profits from the sale of Piety Stall cards and gifts go to St Andrew’s Church funds. Tea, coffee and home baking will be served in aid of The White Lily Fund Charity.This charity was founded by one of our own parishioners, Mrs Angela Bruno MBE, and raises funds for research into and equipment for all types of cancer in the west of Scotland and has raised over £1 million to date. Many thanks to all who came along to October’s Coffee Morning. The sum of £101.25 was raised for Aid to the Church in Need Charity and there is a thank you letter from them posted on the Narthex notice board. Many thanks.
St Andrew’s Golden Jubilee Celebration Music and Quiz Night – next Saturday 25 November 7.30pm All tickets are sold out. Should be a great night. Thank you for the terrific response to the appeal for donations for raffle prizes. Proceeds from the raffle and from all our jubilee events will be donated to chosen charities. This is a BYOB event. Jubilee Pop Up Choir will perform two or three songs at the St Andrew’s Music Night. Final rehearsal 3 - 4.30pm today, Sunday, in the church.
Soup Run Christmas Gift Appeal - The Christmas Soup Run will take place on Friday the 8th December. We will take warm drinks and mince pies.We would be delighted to receive any donations.Gloves, hats, scarfs, socks and underwear are always appreciated as are toiletries.It is very helpful if these are wrapped and details of the contents are on an attached card or tag.These can be left in the Church porch. Advent Youth Mass – 16th December - 6pm Vigil. All the young people of our parish cluster of St Benedict’s, St Joseph’s and St Andrew’s are invited to come along to this Mass in St Andrew’s. It will be followed with pizza in the hall, and then a short Nightfever of quiet time and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in candlelight with some uplifting music, and be finished by 8.30pm. If you would like to volunteer to help at the Mass as a passkeeper, server or with music or the offertory and bidding prayers, please let Fr Mackle know.
Bearsden Christmas Tree Switch-on. Friday 1st December 5pm. Food and Carol Singing. All are most welcome. St Andrew’s, Mosshead and Bearsden Primaries choirs and their families will gather in the Jubilee Garden for the Switch on.
