Christmas Soup Run - Many thanks to all who handed in gifts for the Christmas Soup Run. This year some of the pupils from Bearsden Academy contributed 82 boxes of Christmas gifts. This fabulous combined effort allowed us to distribute to the men who attend the soup run and make a significant contribution to the Christmas celebration at the Wayside Club. Your gifts were greatly appreciated.
A very big thank you to all those who worked so hard in so many ways preparing the church and the Masses for Christmas Day and for this Holy Season. All the musical, liturgical and decorative preparations, people’s participation at Mass and involvement in various ministries are greatly appreciated. Our crib remains in place for forty days until the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord on 2nd February. Crib offerings go towards the St Margaret’s family society which supports children, especially through providing adoption services. Small donation boxes are available in the porch. Please support St Margaret’s with your donations and with your prayers.
A huge thank you to those who generously give of their time serving in the piety stall and to those who have supported it with purchases. The fantastic amount of £1500 profit was raised during 2016, which is a great boost to parish funds. That’s a £300 increase in profits from the previous year.
