A very sincere Thank You to all those who worked so hard in so many ways, in the school and in the parish,after all the preparations for last Friday's Closing Mass of Thanksgiving for St Andrew's Primary School. Sincere thanks, too, all those who were involved in various Mass ministries, and a huge thanks to all who looked after the reception and the hospitality in the hall after Mass. Considering the circumstances of the strike being on and the school being closed, it was seeing a packed church and hall.look forward to the opening of our new school, St Nicholas, on 16th August. Happy holidays, everyone!
 
Had a look at the youth noticeboard recently? New photos up of Caritas and of recent Youth Retreat Days.
 
Catholic?Not baptised? Baptised in another faith? RCIA programme of learning and instruction will begin in the autumn. Please speak to Fr. Mackle if you would like to know more about RCIA and the Catholic faith.
 
The church will continue to be open until 7pm each Tues & Fri until 4 September for anyone who might want to call in for some peace and quiet prayer time.
 
Special second Collection this weekend: 1stJuly – Peter’s Pence.  Your generosity to the Peter’s Pence collection allows the Pope to respond to our suffering brothers and sisters around the world with promptness, love and compassion, so God’s people will not feel alone in their time of misfortune.
 
Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated for 2018 / 2019 school year P7 pupils of St Andrew’s and St Joseph’s Parishes in St Joseph’s Church at 7pm on Thursday 29thNovember 2018.Enrolment forms available in the porch to be returned please by 19thAugust.
 
Our Parish Library has a very extensive range of booksand DVDs covering a wide variety of religious topics. We would like to encourage you to have a look at the books and DVDs.
 
Soup run -The next soup run is this  Friday 6th July. Donations of soup, sandwiches, soft fruit etc can be brought to the lower hall between 6.30 and 7pm. For food hygiene purposes, ideally it would be really helpful if sandwiches could be in packs of two or four. Many thanks for all donations of sportswear and toiletries, much.
 
We need more volunteers so if you think you may be able to come along even on an occasional basis, please either give me a call or just come along. Veronica - 942 4775

“Come and see”leaflet.   St Andrew’s parish receives a large number of visitors.come to attend celebrations, including First Holy Communion Masses, Baptisms and Marriages.aim as a parish is to spread the Good News in a supportive way by extending not only a very warm welcome   to everyone to Church, but to reach out with a meaningful invitation to “Come and see”
 
Reachout – We will be twinning with St Joseph’s to produce theAdvent / Christmas Reachout. If you have any ideas or suggestions for content for this, please email John [email protected] editorial teams of both parishes will meet soon to start making preparations.
 
The Legion of Mary - new members always welcome. Meets on Mondays at 4pm in the Hut.  Divine Mercy Novenais prayed weekdays after morning Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. All most welcome.

Annual Gathering for Parents: 18thAugust in St. Charles’, Paisley. Drumchapel FoodbankAs school meals are not provided during school holidays, many families are under additional pressure to provide for their children. If you're able to bring even just one tinned meal to Mass each week over the summer months  and leave in the porch, these would be very gratefully received. Many thanks.
