A very warm welcome to NET Ministry, who will be at the 10am Mass this weekend to meet our young people and raise awareness about the Youth Retreat Day which will be held here in St Andrew’s 11am – 2pm Sunday, 29th October for all our young parishioners, especially Primary 7s preparing for Confirmation. We hope that as many young people as possible will be free to attend. Youth NET Ministry day retreat - part of our Golden Jubilee Year celebrations.
 
Soup Run – This Friday 6th October at 7.00 p.m. in Lower Hall.  Donations of  soup, sandwiches, soft fruit, biscuits etc. most welcome.  Any queries, please call Phyllis on 570 1343
Gospel Reflection Sessions - Monday 2nd, after the 10am Mass in the Upper Hall. The session will reflect on the Gospel Reading for the upcoming  Sunday.  If you can, please join us for tea/coffee and a reflective and enjoyable discussion.
St A 29 Club Renewal Letters  To help reduce postage costs our fundraising 29 Club renewal letters (in alphabetical order) be picked up in Porch after Mass.Your support is very much appreciated and new members very welcome to join. Musicians and Cantors - there will be a meeting at 7pm this Thursday 5th Oct, followed by a short period of prayer and quiet reflection in the church,
 
October Devotions - Rosary and Benediction Sundays at 4.30pm
 
Meet some of Scotland’s new priests. 12 priestly ordinations this year in      Scotland – a 20-year high. The last year with that number of ordinations was 1997. Pick up a Priests for Scotland leaflet, and a Prayer card for Vocations.
 
Mass for Newly-Married Couples – the Archbishop will celebrate Mass for all couples married in the last few years next Sunday 8th October at 3pm in St      Andrew’s Cathedral. All the recently married are most welcome, as are their family and friends.
 
Evening Pilgrimage to Carfin for St Joseph’s and St Andrew’s – Friday 13th October. Bus will leave at 6.30pm at Milngavie Post Office. All are very         welcome.
 
Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated for P7 pupils of St Andrew’s and St Joseph’s Parishes in St Joseph’s Church 7pm 6th February 2018.
 
Our Parish Library has a very extensive range of books and DVDs covering a wide variety of religious topics. We would like to encourage you to have a look at the books and DVDs.
 
The Legion of Mary - new members always welcome. Meets on Mondays at 4pm in the Hut. The Legion, over the course of the next few months, will be visiting this year’s First Holy Communion families. Divine Mercy Novena is prayed weekdays after morning Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. All most welcome.
 
Safeguarding Training. who work in the parish with children and/or vulnerable adults, who haven’t previously attended relevant safeguarding training, are asked to attend Monday 9th October at 7.00—9.00 p.m. in St. Paul’s, Whiteinch.  To book, please contact [email protected] or telephone 226 5898.

SPRED are looking for practical support, and aof meetings for potential new volunteers will be held on four consecutive Tuesday evenings starting Oct 3rd at the SPRED centre in Provanmill. If you are interested, or perhaps even just curious, why not go along and find out more? - there’s no commitment at this stage. More information from Catherine (942 6984) or Lorna (942 0696)
 
Altar Servers.Any young member of the Parish who would like to become an Altar Server is invited to contact Chris Sanders (942 7519) or Fr. Mackle or Mgr Ryan, who will gladly take your details.This invitation is aimed particularly at those children in last year’s P IV who made their First Holy Communion last May.Training sessions are planned to start as soon after the mid-October half-term as practicable.
 
Primary Three Parents intending to present their child for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation, please complete an enrolment form available in the porch and return it by 13th October.
 
Mass of Commitment for Primary Three families will be at 10am on Sunday 29th October.

Scottish Country Dancing is recognised as an excellent way to get and stay fit.It’s also very sociable and great fun.No special footwear required; no need to come with a partner.There are classes in the area.Anyone interested or for more information, please contact Chris on 942 7519.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament – Each Saturday from 10.30am until 12.30p.m. Please consider coming to spend some time in adoration and prayer each Saturday.
