"Give heed, O Lord, to my prayer
and attend to the sound of my voice."
Bus to Carfin for the National Pilgrimage. Still seats available. Sunday, September 7th. Bus will leave parish at 1pm and return approx. 7.30pm. £3.00.   Mass at 3pm. Rosary procession at 5pm. There’s a good cafeteria at Carfin or you can take a packed lunch. Please sign sheet in porch or mention to Dorothy MacLean, if you would like to go.

Commonwealth Games - As part of the Archdiocese of Glasgow's Service Through Sport initiative, Catholic churches in the city centre and around Commonwealth Games' venues will be open throughout the day, giving athletes, coaches and spectators opportunities to participate in the daily Eucharist, celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation or spend time in quiet prayer and reflection. See porch noticeboard for a list of churches and times of services.

Are you interested in becoming a member of the Catholic Church? If you are, speak to Fr Mackle, who will be happy to talk you through the RCIA process.  To be baptised, confirmed and come to share in the Eucharist is possible at any age! Today, men and women from a variety of backgrounds are responding to the call to follow Christ and celebrate the Sacraments of the Church.

A date for your diary!!! Family Fun Night - Saturday 20th September please come along and join us for a family fun night. Food, bingo and quizzes to suit the whole family. In the upper hall 7 til 10.30 pm. byob. Tickets - £3 per adult, £2 per child. Please contact David and Veronica Maguire vam60@icloud.com  or text 07884468212. Many thanks.

New Hymn Supplement - within the next few weeks we will be introducing a hymn supplement for use along with our Laudate hymnal. This will include a number of well known hymns for both parish and St Andrew’s Primary school use, as well as the new Gloria, which we've been learning over the past few weeks. Music is such an important part of the liturgy and very much enhances our experience at Mass, and I hope that having a more extensive range of hymns will further help us with this.

BeingCatholic.org  On your next coffee break, why not try the 3 minute on-line retreat.

The station is developing sets of Morning Prayer particularly for the Commonwealth Games.

Prayer service for an end to Human Trafficking- Pope Francis' message to 103rd Session of International Labour Conference in May this year is that " human trafficking is a scourge, a crime against the whole of humanity. It is time to join forces and work together to free its victims and to eradicate this crime that affects us all." Please come along to an ecumenical prayer service tomorrow evening, 21st July at 7pm in St Anne's church, 21 Whitevale Street, Dennistoun, G31 1QW.
