Deanery Station Mass – this year’s Lenten Station Mass with the Archbishop will take place in St Eunan’s, Clydebank on Tuesday 1st March at 7pm. There will be no 10am Mass in our parish that day.

Special note for Readers and all who use missals - on the 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays in Lent, as these are RCIA Sundays, the readings are taken from Year A.
 
3 Lenten Reflection sessions are to be held on the Gospel readings for the 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays in Lent. These will take place in the upper hall on the Mondays of 22nd and 29th February and 7th March, after 10am Mass. The sessions will last approx 45mins with tea/coffee available. Please join us - all welcome.
 
SCIAF aims to help the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people. Wee Box appeal will be doubled by the Government if paid before 4th May. Wee boxes and gift-aid envelopes can be collected in the porch.
 
St Andrew’s: A Fairtrade Parish - Fairtrade seeks to alleviate poverty by seeking to redress the imbalances of the global market, which present such formidable obstacles to small producers.  A selection of Fairtrade goods is on offer during our monthly coffee-mornings.  Amongst these we sell Kilombero Rice, to support the project managed from Glasgow which aims to help poor small farmers in Malawi.  http://jts.co.uk/90kg-rice-challenge  Fairtrade Fortnight takes place between 29rd February and 13th March.  To learn more visit http://www.fairtrade.org.uk
 
Coffee Morning Today: Proceeds to Homeless - Coffee and tea will be served today in the Upper Hall following the 10 am and 12pm Masses. Proceeds will be donated to Scottish Churches Housing Action who work to help the lot of the homeless in Scotland.  
 
Please keep in your prayers Jackie and Geoff Harrison who are journeying through the RCIA process of becoming Catholics this Easter.
 
Sacrament of Reconciliation – Times for First Confession for Primary Three. During The Season of Lent (10th Feb – 27th March).  Saturdays 10.30am – 11.00am; & 5.15pm – 5.45pm; Sundays 9.15 – 9.40am. Family members are encouraged too to take the opportunity to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
 
Year of Mercy Lenten Reflections – this Thursday 25th Feb at 7pm in the upper hall. Led by Canon Robert Hill. Tea and coffee will be served and there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion afterwards. Part of our parish's Adult Faith Formation programme.
 
Stations of the Cross – Fridays in Lent at 7pm. Divine Mercy chaplet prayers after daily Mass. Lentfest 2016 events programme available in the porch.
 
I would like to say a huge thank you for so many Mass and sympathy cards for Ian at this very sad time. We are overwhelmed by the kind words and prayers which have been a great comfort to us. A Mass will be offered for you all.

Baptism Preparation Course – Thursday, 3rd March at 7pm in the Upper Hall. Parents and godparents are expected to attend. Please note, the dates of future baptism courses are 2nd June, 1st September & 1st December.

St Andrew’s Readers Rota -(March  2016-May2016)  Please note that the Rota for the forthcoming three month period has been printed out and is on display in both the Porch and the Sacristy. This was circulated to everyone on the Rota by email on 9th February 2016.  As an increasing number of readers seem to be having difficulties in receiving these emails and/or opening the .pdf attachments I would be grateful if the readers affected would use the copies on display in the Church and make a note of the dates on which they are due to read.  Thank you. Parish Cluster Mass Thursday 3rd March 7pm in St Benedict’s  - a joint Mass with our neighbouring parishes, St Joseph’s, St Benedict's and St Laurence's. This will give us all an opportunity to start to build relationships by praying and socialising together. After Mass, there will be a chance to meet parishioners in Oliver's function suite, Drumchapel Road. If transport would be helpful or if you can offer transport, please put your name on the sign up sheet in the porch. Please note that there will be no 10am Mass in St Andrew's on the 3rd March. Please do come along to this first Parish clustering Mass during the Year of Mercy.
 
St Andrew’s Primary PTA is running a Family Disco in the Upper Hall on Saturday 5th March from 7pm until 10pm. The night includes a DJ, party games for the children, pizza and a Mother’s Day hamper raffle. Tickets are £5 per adult and £2 per child. Calming the Storm – a Lenten day of prayer, reflection and stillness in a busy world, on Sat 27th Feb from 10.15am – 3pm in Our Holy Redeemer’s House. Cost £20 includes tea/coffee/lunch. Call Oonagh Coultas on 07920 065 584 to book. 
 
Annual St Margaret of Scotland Hospice Celtic Ceilidh Dinner and Dance - Friday, March 11 at 7pm. Sponsored and hosted by Òran Mór.
