RCIA will begin this Wednesday 24th September at 7pm in the Hut. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Catholic Church, speak to Fr Mackle. Today, men and women from a variety of backgrounds are responding to the call to follow Christ and celebrate the Sacraments of the Church.
A Mission Appeal will be made at all our Masses next weekend on behalf of the Xavarian Fathers. The second collection will be our donation to help them in their missionary work.

Piety Stall Rota – We are short of volunteers to assist with serving in the Piety Stall, particularly after the Vigil Mass. If you could spare 15 minutes after Mass we would really appreciate your help. Rota for Sept / Oct / Nov is now on the noticeboard.

Annual SPUC White Flower Appeal at all Masses on weekend 4th/5th October. SPUC works hard to promote a culture of life for beginning and end of life issues in Scotland. Its pro-life work involves challenging the Assisted Suicide legislation and backing the case of the Scotland-based midwives in their legal challenge to have their conscientious objection rights recognised and respected by hospital authorities. SPUC is also launching a petition highlighting the high number of wrongly certified abortion procedures taking place in the UK to be sent to the relevant Health ministers at Westminster and Holyrood. Its education and youth development work is continuing with great success. The second collection will be taken up to help support this very worthy and important cause.
Altar Servers’ Training Sessions. Fr Mackle and Chris Sanders, Altar Servers’ Organiser, would like to meet all Altar Servers to run through serving procedures at Mass. This is part of an exercise involving all participants at Mass, ie Readers, Extra-ordinary Ministers, etc. It is only necessary to attend one of the two sessions which are planned for today, Sunday 21st September and Sunday 5th October, lasting no more than one hour, from 1.30 pm till 2.30 pm.
Children’s Liturgy. All who help with and lead P1 – P3 & P4-P7, please note that there will be three children’s liturgy training evenings on 6th, 13th & 20th November at 7pm in the Hall. The first two evenings will be led by Ellen McBride, Archdiocesan Trainer for Catechists.
Grant Campbell, from Glasgow City Mission, is coming at 7pm on Sunday 21 September 2014 to Baljaffray Parish Church to talk about their work & the recruitment of volunteers.
