Date for your Diary—Ecumenical Vespers. The Archdiocese arranges Vespers each year and invites a speaker from another Christian tradition. This year Archbishop Conti has asked to come to St. Andrew’s Bearsden on Thursday 26th April at 7pm. All welcome. The visiting invited preacher is Rev. Colin Caskie– Moderator of Dumbarton Presbytery.
Family Ceilidh—28th April—As part of our 25 year celebrations, St Andrew's is holding a family ceilidh on Saturday 28th April in the Upper Hall from 7pm—10pm. B.Y.O.B. and soft drinks and we’ll provide hot dogs and pizza. £15 per family ticket. Forty Hours Devotions—~Devotions begin here at St. Andrew’s on Sunday 22nd April from after 12 noon Mass until the Evening Holy Hour at 7.30 p.m; resuming on Monday and Tuesday 23rd/234th from after 10.00 a.m. Mass until the Holy Hours each evening at 7.30 p.m. The church will be open throughout the day during Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament for private visits and devotions The visiting preacher each evening will be Fr. Gerry Mulligan CSsR.

Archdiocese of Glasgow—Justice and Peace Commission—International Earth Day - Is celebrated annually on 22nd April. Events are held worldwide to increase awareness and appreciation of the Earth’s natural environment. Catholic Social teaching remind us that we are stewards, called by God to share the responsibility for the future of the earth and that we should work for a world in which people respect and protect all of creation and seek to live simply in harmony with it for the sake of future generations.

Association of Bearsden Churches—We are coming to Bearsden Town Hall on Tuesday 3rd July with our Savour the Flavour—The African Kitchen Tour event. The evening will consist of cookery demonstrations using fairly traded African and Co-operative produce. We hope these events will be interesting and informative as well as highlighting Scotland’s ambition to become a Fair Trade nation. Our events are free to Co-op Members and guests.
The Glorious Sounds of Brass—12th May—To help celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the opening of the church building, the Co-operative Funeralcare Brass Band will be performing in the Upper Hall at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday 12th May. The band has proved to be the most successful band in the history of Scottish Brass Band Music. They have won the Scottish Championship 30 times and during the 1990’s, twice won the National Championship of Great Britain—the only Scottish band ever to win this prestigious championship. They are the current Scottish Champions and promise an exciting and different evening entertainment.
