Year of Faith: - Jesus took pity on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. “We must not forget that in our cultural context, very many people, while not claiming to have the gift of faith, are nevertheless sincerely searching for the ultimate meaning and definitive truth of their lives and of the world.” (PF10) Jesus set himself to teach them at some length. The Year of Faith is an opportunity to engage with this search for meaning and truth.
AGAP Film & Faith Club – is showing “Millions” (2004) at St Michael’s Church Hall, 1350 Gallowgate (Opposite Cineworld at Parkhead Forge Shopping Centre) on Thursday 2nd August at 7.30pm. The film is a quirky comedy directed by Danny Boyle, about a 7 year old boy who finds a bag of money and has visions of his favourite saints who advise him what to do with it.
