"I am the resurrection and the life"
 says the Lord.

St Andrews Parish Pastoral Council Consultation - How can we each deepen our relationship with Jesus, develop our parish community and reach out to the wider world, are all questions being considered by your Parish Pastoral Council  The PPC would like to gather as many of your views as possible on these questions to help shape our parish priorities over the next three years.
How will this be done? After the Vigil Mass on 18th April and both Masses on 19th April, we'd like as many parishioners as possible, to come into the hall and share your views in a similar way to the parish consultation exercise last year. If you're not able to come into the hall after Mass, there will still be an opportunity to feed in your thoughts via email and a hard copy feedback sheet which will be available the following weekend.

From 8am until 8pm this Friday, 27th March in St Andrew’s Cathedral priests will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Come home for Easter!

Catholic Youth Festival - St Andrew’s parishioners, please get your thinking caps on for fund-raising ideas, as we would like to give as many of our young people as possible the opportunity to attend. If you are keen to go let us know, and also please contact Archdiocesan Youth Chaplain, Fr John Sweeney to register  – email: [email protected]   30 July to 2 August at University of Stirling Campus.  Inspired by WYD 2013 and previous WYDs, young people are invited to experience the fun, prayer and joy of a World Youth Day this summer in Stirling where they will join young people from across Scotland and beyond.  The event is open to those 14 -25 years of age. Cost - £150. The Hut Ladies have very kindly offered to sponsor the cost of £150 for one young parishioner who wishes to attend.

SPRED: Please come and support our parish SPRED group as we lead the Liturgy at today’s 12 noon Mass. All are invited to join us afterwards for refreshments in the Lower Hall.

St Andrew’s P7 have prepared their own reflection on the Passion and Death of Jesus which is called the “Jesus Mystery?” which they will  present on 24th March and repeat on the 25th & 26th in the school hall at 1.30pm.  Parishioners are most welcome to attend.

Recruitment Weekend. Many thanks to the 17 people who agreed to volunteer for various ministries at Mass at last week’s ‘recruitment weekend’. Your time in contributing to the parish life will be greatly appreciated. If you missed out last weekend, but would still like to find out more about how you can contribute to the various ministries or volunteer to help by being an Altar Server, Extraordinary Minister, Musician, Cantor, Passkeeper, Reader, a member of SVDP or with the Children’s Liturgy, then please contact Father Mackle or the Liturgy Group Coordinator, Elizabeth Reid (563 9717).

Safeguarding. The final meeting for verification of Applications to join the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme will take place on Wednesday within the Parish House from 6.00p.m. to 7.00p.m.    I have contacted all Volunteers who have not yet had their Applications verified and requested that they meet with me on Wednesday.   It is of crucial importance that they do so as later this year it will be a criminal offence for any Parishioner to work with children or vulnerable adults who is not a member of the PVG Scheme.    If there still remains any Parishioner who is not already a member of the PVG Scheme nor in the throes of applying to join the Scheme and who carries out voluntary work within St. Andrew’s involving children or vulnerable adults, then he or she should speak immediately with Father Mackle or contact myself as Parish Co-ordinator.  Thank you
