Coffee morning WYD fundraiser today Sunday 24th April after 10am Mass – there’s home baking, face painting, glitter tattoos & a waffle maker. A selection of fair-trade goods including rice, tea/coffee, jams and chocolate will also be on sale.
Quiz night WYD fundraiser for all 7th May – 7pm for 7.30pm until 11pm. BYOB. Donations of quality raffle prizes to the Sacristy would be much appreciated. Tickets £2 available at the back of the Church after every Mass.
First Holy Communion celebrations for our parish community will take place at the 12noon Masses on 15th and 22nd May. Please keep the first communicants in your prayers. Rehearsals - Thursdays 12th and 19th May, 10am Mass followed by rehearsal.
SVDP ‘Vincentian talk - Monday 25th April in Blessed John Duns Scotus at 7.30pm - admission is free and refreshments will be served afterwards. All most welcome.
SVDP charity concert in Woodlands Halls on Friday 27th May. Proceeds from the concert will go to support the work of the Ozanam Centre in Glasgow. Details of both these events are on the noticeboard in the porch.

The Early Church of the New Testament to the Church Fifty Years After Vatican II – ‘Where Are We?’ Monsignor Ryan will give the second of his talks in the Upper Hall at 7.30 pm this Thursday 28th April. Teas and coffees will be provided. All are invited to attend what should be an informative and interactive talk and discussion.

St. Andrew's Whist Drive will take place at 7:30pm on Monday 25th April in the Lower Hall. Everyone is welcome regardless of ability. Someone will be on hand to help if you are a beginner. The Legion of Mary monthly pilgrimages to Carfin commence again from May until October 2016. 13th of each month at 7.30pm at Carfin Grotto. For more details see Poster in the porch. Parish Year of Mercy Retreat to Schoenstatt Scotland, Campsie Glen - you are invited to a half day retreat on the Year of Mercy which will take place on 1st June from 10.30am to 1pm. This retreat also has a period of exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the Shrine, and a wonderful tea room, with a selection of sandwiches, a range of scones clotted cream, strawberries and cakes in the Retreat Centre. Cost £5.00, the Parish will meet the remainder of the cost. The door to the Shrine at Schoenstatt has been designated as a Special door for the Year of Mercy. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the opportunity to enter a Holy Door. If interested then please place your name on the sheet in the porch.
