Youth Ministry Team is currently organising a social / reunion for the present P7s. Invitations are being distributed this week. In the pipeline for the cluster are a P6 Retreat in November, advent Carol Singing event, February NET Ministry Retreat, Lenten youth evening, P7 pre Confirmation Retreat, Caritas and the Pope Francis Faith Award.
St Andrew’s, St Joseph’s and St Nicholas’ are hoping soon to have the Pope Francis Faith Award up and running. It would be for the next school year’s P6, so all current P5 parents might want to take a look in the meantime at https://sces.org.uk/faith-award/
We look forward to the Legion of Mary’s visit from 24th - 31st August for the Peregrinatio (Pilgrimage) week. Pray for them in a special way that their time here spreading the gospel in our parish will be successful and fruitful. Many thanks to all those who will be hosting them, and to those who will be looking after the week’s meals. More details soon.
Preparation for Legion of Mary August visit. We’re producingleaflet for the Legion to take round the doors when they are visiting. We’d like, therefore, to get non-posed photographs at this weekend’s Masses, which may be used in the leaflet.If you have any concerns or would prefer for yourself or others not to appear, please speak to Fr Mackle.
Interested in becoming a Catholic?– Not baptised? Baptised in another faith? RCIA will begin in the autumn. The programme of learning and instruction prepares adults for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Please speak to Fr. Mackle if you would like to know more about RCIA and the Catholic faith.

The Legion of Mary is having a Recruitment Drive after all Masses this weekend. The work of the Legion is wide and varied and is involved with the whole Parish at various stages of the Faith journey.We visit the homes of the Newly Baptised and their families, the First Communicants and the Care Homes within the Parish. In addition we hold retreats and Community Celebrations and have Patrician Meetings which look to extend the knowledge and understanding of our Faith in an enquiring and inquisitive manner suited to where the individual is in his/her Faith Journey.If you are interested in the work of the Legion of Mary, or would like just to experience whether it is for you, please speak to one of our Legionaries at the back of the Church or contact Liz Healy on 0770 4059953.

School Uniform Collection - One worthwhile cause you can help is this year’s school uniform appeal. New and used uniforms are needed for children in the Clydebank and Dumbarton area, many of whom miss school because they do not have a uniform. If you can donate anything, please phone Judith Reid 07713478676 to arrange collection. Last year more than 100 families were helped. Please help us do better this year.
Drumchapel Foodbank is particularly in need of extra donations up to the end of school when school meals are not provided during school holidays and many families are under additional pressure to provide for their children. All donations always gratefully received.
