Volunteers Required--We are looking for some strong men/boys to help set out and put away the tables and chairs on the Coffee Morning days, (normally every 3rd Sunday of the month apart from during the month of May and the school holidays).  If you are able to help, please contact Veronica Maguire 0141 942 0607 or email veronica@fivepmco.demon.co.uk  Many thanks.

Family Ceilidh--To celebrate St. Andrew’s night, we are holding a family Ceilidh on Saturday 24th November in the Upper Hall from 7pm—10pm.  B.Y.O.B. and soft drinks and we’ll provide burgers, hot dogs and pizza.  £15 per family ticket.  Contact Shivonne Hayes on 942 8603 / email shivonnehayes@aol.co.uk or Veronica Maguire on 942 0607 / email veronica@fivepmco.demon.co.uk  

SPRED--Welcomes people with learning difficulties into our parish community.  We are desperately in need of someone who is free on a Wednesday evening (term time only) to help with one of our friends.  No experience necessary as training will be given.  We also need a driver for one of our friends to enable him to attend our meetings—this would only be every second Wednesday.  If interested, please phone Catherine on 942 6984

Altar Servers Training--There will be four sessions held in the Church
Session One Sunday 30th September 2pm-3pm
Session Two Sunday 30th September 3pm-4pm
Session Three Sunday 7th October 2pm-3pm
Session Four Sunday 7th October 3pm-4pm
Servers are asked to attend only one of the training sessions

The Glasgow Gospel Choir --  will be performing a rich collaboration of African and Gospel music from an energetic mix of talented musicians on Friday 2nd November 7.30pm. All proceeds will go towards the African Youth Development Action Project, Liberia (ADAP).  Tickets (including cheese & wine) £10/£7  Children free!

Pro-Life Group--The monthly Pro-Life Group Rosary to pray for an end to abortion will be at 7.00 p.m. on Wednesday 26th September in the Blessed Sacrament chapel.

Altar Servers—Any young member of the Parish (who has made his/her First Holy Communion) who would like to become an Altar Server is invited to contact Chris Sanders (942 7519) or Fr. Donnelly, who will gladly take your details.  Training sessions are due to commence soon.

Primary 4 Parents—The Piety stall has a selection of books about the lives of the Saints on sale which may be helpful with preparation for Confirmation.

Piety Stall Rota—Sincere thanks to everyone who assists with serving in the Piety Stall—we appreciate it very much.  We are, however, still short of volunteers.  If you could spare 15 minutes after Mass and are aged over 16, we would really appreciate your help.  The rota sheets for October, November and December is on the notice board at the back of the Church.  Any questions, please call Anne MacIntosh 931 5861 or Annamaria Strachan 942 9799.

RCIA—Meeting at the Hut on Wednesday 26th September at 7.30pm.  Contact Margaret Barton on 563 9043.

Justice & Peace—Meet at the Hut on Thursday 27th September at 7.30pm .  Contact Stephen Hayes on 942 8603.

Sacrament of Confirmation—In preparation—a family Prayer Service for parents, sponsors, children of P4 Stage at the Church on Wednesday 3rd October at 7.30pm.

The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) The White Flower Appeal - Will be making an appeal at all Masses on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September.

Coffee Morning—Sunday 21st October after 10am Mass.  Proceeds to Lighthouse Projects for street children in Nagaland, India.  Please support a very worthy cause.  Donations of home baking (no nuts please) very welcome.  Please hand in before 10am Mass. Many thanks.

SCIAF Wee Box Scheme—If you still have a box please return on the weekend of 29th/30th September—remember to sign gift declaration on the box.

National Old People’s Week—30th September—6th October.  Flag Day—6th October.  Volunteer house to house collectors should be 14 years and over.  Please contact Sheena Glass 0141 221 6244

Legion of Mary—Schoenstatt Evening Retreat—Thursday 27th September 7pm—9pm.  For travel and details contact Bridie Grogan on 0141 956 4989.

Prayer for vocations to the priesthood and religious life—The 31 Club.  To offer Mass for this intention please sign on the dates indicated on the notice at the porch of the church.

St. Andrew’s Whist Drive—Monday 24th September.  Lower hall at 7 30pm.  All including beginners very welcome.  Contact Susan Morrison 0141 563 7959 or 07580086381.

St. Andrew’s Pre Fives—The St. Andrew’s Pre-school Lunch Club meet every Thursday from 12pm to 2pm in the Lower Hall starting on 27th September.  If you have a child who will be starting at St. Andrew’s Primary School in August 2013 you are very welcome to come along.  It is an opportunity for your child to meet and play with future classmates.  Bring a packed lunch.  Younger siblings welcome.  Contact Lesley Anne on 0141 587 7585 or 07957 693774 for further info.
