For Primary 3 Families - Preparation for First Confession
Thursday 12th January at 7pm in the Upper Hall for parents whose children are preparing to celebrate Sacrament of Reconciliation during Lent 2017.
As well as the meeting on 12th January, all P3 children and their parents, (grandparents also, if they wish) are asked to attend an important preparation meeting on Thursday 23rd February 7pm-9pm in the Upper Hall, which will be led by the Salesian Sisters and their team.
For Primary 4 Families - Preparation for First Holy Communion
Thursday 26th January at 7pm in the Upper Hall for parents whose children are preparing to celebrate First Holy Communion in May 2017.
We look forward to all families, who have had a celebration of Baptism recently, gathering together for the 10am Mass on Sunday, 15th January. After Mass, there will be refreshments served in the parish hall to which everyone is invited.
As part of the Parish’s 50th anniversary celebrations, in conjunction with St Andrew’s Primary PTA, a Family Burns Ceilidh will take place on Saturday 28th January from 7pm in the Upper Hall. Tickets will go on sale in the early New Year.
The Legion of Mary will be visiting families in the parish who have had the celebration of a baptism recently. The Legion meets Tuesdays 7.30pm in the Hut. New members always welcome.
As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, photos will be taken at the 5pm Vigil and the 10am Mass on Christmas morning. Some photos may feature in the catholic newspapers, and in the Milngavie & Bearsden Herald. If you have any concerns or would prefer for yourself or your children not to appear, please speak to Fr Mackle.
St Antony’s Bread over the recent months has collected £300, which has been donated to the Wayside Club for the homeless.

Scotland's National Holocaust Memorial Event 2017 will take place on the evening of 26 January at Bishopbriggs Academy. The event is a partnership between Interfaith Scotland, Scottish Government, the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust and East Dunbartonshire Council.
